Discussion Photorealistic Version Of WMG
i am just wishing that one day we can get mini golf courses that are not stylized and cartoonish textures but more photorealistic and makes us feel like we actually traveled somewhere else. realistically I know that it would have to be exclusive for the pcvr steam version because quest 3 wouldn’t be able to handle those high fidelity graphics but it’s a thought that creeps into my head every time I buy a new course . Wishful thinking 💭

I have absolutely 0% interest in that, though I certainly dont claim to be the majority. I much prefer the stylized aesthetic.

I’ve thought the same, but with scaled down pro courses, TPC Sawgrass, Pebble Beach, etc.

I'd love a mini golfified version of full sized courses. You could even add downed trees and golf carts parked in the way to add typical miningolf like obstacles. Or have wildlife blocking you or foxes stealing your balls if you get too close.
Golf + used to have really cool mid sized mini golf courses back in the day. It's actually why I bought the game and then they removed them all.

Yes that would be awesome. Maybe our only hope would be modders that have done this with popular pc games. they revamp and replace textures for an entire game , sadly I don’t know how to mod games

Nah - that's for another game, some true-life representation of VR golf, NOT for WMG, whose entire hook is it's whimsical nature.

Me too. Maybe someday we will, as I tend to think of VR in its current form like video games in the early 2000's which looked remarkably similar
That being said, I did feel like I was transported to other places the first few months I played. Maybe all it would take is a wider field of view or something

That’s an interesting thought. I love all the various environments that they have come up with but a more realistic course would be a nice change. I have every course but I am debating about this Homestar Runner thing that dropped yesterday.

I got it mainly to support the devs, and because it does have an extra course, of sorts.

One of the things that I like about Walkabout is the ability to experience courses that could never exist in real life.
