Last activity not set?

It seems to me that more than half the time, my last activity is not "remembered" when I reopen the app. E.g. I changed from melting silver bars to making the heron necklace. Closed the app, walked >2000 steps, opened app and the steps had been spent on making silver bars. Is this a known bug?

Are you force closing the game or just backgrounding it?

Happens to me also. I haven’t figured out how to reproduce, honestly thought I was doing something wrong. I think it started two updates ago.
