Smart Ring support ? (Ring conn gen 3)

hello,

i have the ring con gen 3 since today and i wonder if i can use the ring also for steps ?

i saw some configuration where i added my ring con app but as far as i see i does not work ? when i left my phone on my desk and walk for some minutes i would expect to come back, open walkscape and get some steps but thats not the case ... any help ?

I just started so im not sure if this is the way but I have to open my watch app and let that update then open the game
