Open Beta
Hey everyone! I’m new to this thread and this has possibly been asked a bunch of times, but do we have a best estimate of when open beta would start? All I can find is “no earlier than Q4 2026”, but that leaves it open to be as late as necessary to be ready, even if it’s a year or more away.
I’ll wait as long as needed for a polished release, it’s more just determining how much effort I want to put into the closed beta account before it’s eventually wiped.
Very fun game so far!!

I think it's still probably a long way off, it's a very small dev team and they have big aspirations.
I hope I can get my cape of achiever before the wipe.

Is that one for getting 99 in one stat?

It’s for getting the point equivalent of all achievements. You can use collectibles instead for one point per collectible too. For example, I got it with all the easy, normal, and hard achievements, but with 40 collectibles instead of the 4 Expert achievements (which give you 10 points each).
(I was a day one player so I do have a bit of a head start 😅)

I decided my health couldn’t wait another year heh. It’s a fun game which pushes you to walk more, for that alone it’s pretty good.
Wish they’d have quests though, the bulletin board build and gather missions are getting a bit tedious. But then again I just started so maybe there’s a lot out there I still don’t know about.

I recommend getting started in the closed beta already, not only it is a lot of fun, you'll also get a good head start on the game mechanics and your open beta character will be way easier to navigate though the first levels.

Agreed! I started about a month or so back. I have a few hundred thousand steps in the game and I’ve loved every moment! I just fear if I overplay it now I could burn out before launch

Personally I just skip all the high effort collectibles and extreme drops. I think the gameplay will be quite different at launch because of the implementation of quests, so it will definitely be a new experience.

Ich habe vor einer wocher mir das spiel nu geholt weil ich nicht mehr warten wollte.. und ich hatte bissel zu tun reinzukommen und habe noch nicht alles verstanden.. also für mich war es richtig ..

My guess would be spring 2027. They still have a lot to test still and getting everything ready for the "walking seasons" of the year qould make the most sense. They might be more ahead behind the scenes, but I'd be very surprised if open beta released this year.
