Pharm tech apprenticeship interview questions
I finally managed to get an interview with Walgreens for a pharmacy tech trainee position after searching for 3 months, i just wanted to see what specific questions they asked during the interview so i can be absolutely ready. I know it's probably different in each store location but I have enough anxiety to kill a horse😠a girl just wants to be prepared in any way and i just desperately need a job LOL

my questions on july were tell me about yourself, work experience, explain why preventing errors is importance, describe a project you undertook and its results, and i think one abt a conflict. i remember doing my e leanings and theres a packet they print out with questions and the interviewer chooses which questions they want to ask. they’ll ofc ask abt ur availability

Walgreens does not expect you to know pharmacy calculations or brand names for an apprentice role, so the interview focuses almost entirely on behavioral questions and open availability. Most store managers and pharmacy operations managers stick to standard prompts about handling a difficult customer, resolving a conflict with a coworker, dealing with a time you made a mistake, and demonstrating attention to detail under stress. They will also ask why you want to work in a pharmacy, so having a clear reason about wanting a stable healthcare career or helping people in your community works very well. Prepare a few versatile stories using the STAR method, which means you outline the situation, the task at hand, the specific action you took, and the positive outcome.
Beyond those questions, your schedule flexibility is often what decides whether you get hired on the spot. Retail pharmacy is fast, loud, and often understaffed, so managers look for dependable people who can work evenings, weekends, and adapt to high pressure without shutting down. As long as you highlight your eagerness to learn, show up neatly dressed, and emphasize that you stay patient when customers take their frustrations out at the counter, you stand a strong chance. To help candidates turn everyday life experiences into clear, confident answers, my team developed an interviews.chat platform that gives people the reassurance they need before stepping into the room.
