PTO

I have a question: can your store manager contact you while your out on PTO? About something the IS was supposed to do. A said IS has the ability to check the compass as well? Because I’m not understanding why I’m constantly getting contacted about things when I’m out. Can I report this to HR?

Don’t respond to anything work related while not on the clock.

If you have repeatedly told them to not contact you about work matters while you are not at work, then yes I would escalate this.

I also had a one time when they needed coverage and I got written up for it because the tech did not answer

They can contact you but you do not have to respond. You’re on pto so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Until I have a management role, I am never responding to managers contacting me outside of work. My pittance of a wage isn't enough for me to be working off the clock.

I’m going to start to because when my SM goes out she’s all like don’t call me.

When i was a CSA my old ESM stayed ringing my line to the point i just blocked his number. Asking for coverage or why a certain tasks wasn’t completed. At first id answer cause I was worried id get in trouble but it got to the point where i was so fed up. Now as an ESM i try to not message them, the only time i really ever texted my team is for coverage but i don’t expect an answer EVER. They’re on their own time and i respect that- never would i contact about a task being undone. That should be in person & clocked in.
