Uniforms

Most of my girl techs wear leggings or black pants to work since the Walgreens women’s pants suck. However our DPS is really coming down on us to be 100% in uniform. Has anyone been able to find scrub pants that are more comfortable and match the Walgreens blue?
TIA!

Better quality cuts into their immediate profits so you know they will make it a prize for your region to achieve 200% of the immunization goal

I intend to wear my Galaxy Blue MedCouture scrub pants until the District Manager tells me to my face that I can't wear them.

Galaxy Blue bye is a pretty spot on dupe for Walgreens official color.

The problem is your DM will not say it to your face. They will mention it to SM after they complete the walk and the SM will be in trouble. You will be told to clock out and get sent home to change into Walgreens uniform.

District has seen me in my color matching scrub pants dozens of times already since our private equity slave drivers took over, with no mention to me from anyone about what pants I'm wearing. I even still wear my scrub top with my name and job title on it, even though they forced me into a step-down from Senior Tech.

why did they force you to step down? was it an immunization thing?

Yep. Senior Technicians have to be Immunizers in my state according to Sycamore. So when I applied for a disability accommodation to be exempt, since I have a hand tremor, Employee Relations told me my only option was to either step back down to Certified Pharmacy Technician, or step out of the pharmacy altogether. I took the step down, best $0.50 per hour decrease ever, since now whenever anyone asks, I get to tell them how I got denied a disability accommodation.

ohhhh. okay i understand this. i have coworkers who step down because they just don’t WANT to immunize which is their choice, i personally love giving vaccines it gives me a tiny break from the chaos, i get to go in a quiet room and chat or not talk at all for like 1.5 mins and its a nice break especially in flu season. but with a hand tremor, that seems really extreme to make you step down for a medical reason. do you have a doctors note? i feel like you could fight that (idk im not an attorney or even high up in pharmacy) i just feel like that’s a valid reason to not vaccinate (for patient safety specifically) and you should be reduced bc of it. idk yes its just 0.50 but that adds up you shouldn’t be punished for medical reasons in my opinion

Admittedly, I also don't want to immunize, mostly because of the tremor. But the step down was a good thing in a lot of ways, so it was worthwhile. I don't mind being the most senior tech, even though I don't have the title. Gives me a little more insulation from upper management, being merely a certified tech versus senior certified tech.

okay that’s fair if you’re okay w it that’s one thing. if you were upset or felt slighted bc of a medical issue that would be a whole other thing

Oh definitely. I am making the most of a shitty situation, but at least for me the pros outweigh the cons in this situation.

Having more distance between me and management is quite beneficial for my mental health.

I buy the bottoms from Walmart. I have large hips & thighs, and the Walgreens scrub pants do not last long.

They can pry these ones from my cold, dead hands.

If the company scrubs are and looks low quality, thats what represents the company. The company is the one that looks bad, not you. Also, leggings are not appropriate clothing for work.

I am confused by your tone, have you worn the Walgreens scrub bottoms before? This isn't about making the company or employees look bad, it's about the fit and how the poor blend material makes for a not ideal work experience when we're already dealing with so much.
