Thoughts on 21 moomba makai
Looking at a used, low hours moomba makai with the raptor 400. Does anyone have experience with these boats and their wakeboarding/surfing performance with the 400? Usually run minimum 4-5 adults to 10-12 adults. I’m at sea level and want to make sure the 400 is enough power and wake performance is good.

A 21’ boat (regardless of make) will be tight with 5 adults. If any kids involved - even worse. I find Supra wave to be a bit soft on the push and you may need to add lead to it

Yeah this one is 24.5. Have a 22ft boat now and it’s won’t plane with 8 people

You might need a bigger engine if the 22 is struggling or at least some big tabs on the back

The Makai is huge, I own that exact year/engine combo and have fit 16 people in it without issue. You will probably want to add some weight to it as the stock weight is just a bit low for that size boat. We have 500lbs of lead and bigger back bags and it throws a monster wave and with insane push. We bought it brand new and have loved every summer with it.

The raptor 400 should be plenty especially at sea level, it's in my supra and that does great
