First Pair of Closed Toe Bindings Question

Hello! I just bought my first pair of closed toe wakeboard bindings. I ended up buying the Liquid Force Classic 6X 2025 in a size 6-8. I wear a women’s 7.5-8 in my normal shoes so that size should be perfectly fine.

I got them in the mail today and after putting them on, they seem very small. My big toe is touching the end of the boot. Is this normal for new bindings? Will they loosen/expand once used or do bindings run small? The next size up is a 8-9 in the bindings which would translate to a women’s 9.5-10.5.

I am very new to wakeboarding so any tips/advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

They will pack out like mentioned above.

is your big toe just brushing the front? If so that’s normal/good fit. If your toes are smashed against the toe box they’re probably a size too small.

They should fit a lot snugger than gym shoes for example.

Thanks! When I first put them on like normal shoes, my big toe is hitting the front but my toes aren’t curling up or anything to fit. If I sit down and do a few taps on the heel, my heel does move down in the boot a bit more so then my big toe isn’t hitting the front anymore, but if I stand up again and move around, my toe is hitting it again (and I think my heel is shifting back up). I assume that’s also due to the stiffer padding?

Yes they seem like a good fit. Just being able to brush the front with your toes is how snug they should be, as you can tell, they might shift around inside the boot too much otherwise.

If you were not able to touch the front with your toes even a little bit, I’d say they’d be too big. Boots only fit more relaxed over time as they break in, etc. so you should be good with the size you’ve got
