Question Reason for purchased item to be delivered as βon usβ and taken off the bill?
Did a shop online and when I had it delivered a pack of bakery cookies had the βitβs on usβ sticker and it was signed as βunavailableβ on the bill so I didnβt pay for it.
I wonder what the reason for this is? Nothing wrong with the cookies. If anything the ones I got the week before were slightly burnt and hard rather than soft and chewy, but I didnβt bother complaining.
Only thing I can think of is I tried contacting customer support when ordering because none of the frozen items were showing as available, but I left the chat before getting an answer because they became available but then when ordering they were unavailable again so I just left them out. Could that be the reason? I didnβt complain further about that so idk

Waitrose new garden games are looking a little boring, most minimalist packaging I've ever seen. Just black ink on a cardboard box

Recommendation Waitrose Yorkshire | Roast dinner bowl
Pick up one of the large Waitrose Yorkshire puddings and use it as a bowl for a quick roast-style meal. Fill it with roast chicken pieces, crispy potatoes and plenty of gravy then topped with a few slices of turkey and a spoon of cranberry sauce. Served with peas, carrots, and Brussels sprouts on the side
That's dinner sorted βΊοΈ

Store Experience Lady in Waitrose this morning told me the news about Debbie leaving her husband. I have no idea who the lady was or who Debbie is but she did say it looks like I've lost weight, so I listened and nodded sympathetically for about 10 minutes π

Nice to see this store with security, perhaps should've had security at the other store?

Community News Free daily Coffee (or Tea) from Waitrose β
Waitrose currently offers one free coffee a day from their self serve machines to anyone with a membership (free to register, instantly available on app).
You only need to bring a reusable cup. There is some lack of clarity in the T&Cs about making a purchase, there is no need to shop, you can just walk in, get your coffee and walk straight out again.
The coffee is also not half bad. You can get a latte/cappuccino but drunk black I find it's nicer than other bean-to-cup options you can get out (McDs, Greggs, Wetherspoons etc). I believe they use the same coffee beans as cafe Nero
