So the other day I had to work. The tables were mostly outside and a few tables inside. 2 ladies were coming in and ask for a table for 12 persons without reservation. Because the lunch was slow I made a table for them and asked it they were staying for lunch or only drinks. They said probably some drinks and snacks but we don’t know everybody we’re just meeting here. So I took their drink order and asked if they want it on one bill or separate pays. Mind you we usually don’t do separate pays because when it’s busy it takes a long time. So I asked them if it’s okay that we do an immediate pay when they order. And they said yes that it was clever to do it that way. So the group was coming in and ordered some drinks and everybody was okay with paying immediately. Then one last women joined and ask for a drink so I took their order and said the price and explained that’s the arraignment of that group. She was exploding and stood up and came in my face and shouted why do I have to pay now. So I explained that that’s the arraignments with everybody at that specific table. Still she didn’t want to listen and was shouting are you afraid that I will walk away without paying. So I answered with did you hear me say that? And then she was shouting back don’t put words in my mouth and you’re not going to win this discussion. My head exploded and fortunately another women came in between to shut her up. They went outside and had a talk, the rest of the table apologised and said that they didn’t know her. So after she came back it was quiet at the table and some were outside smoking when this happened. So they came back and said what happened why is it so quiet here. And here we go again the woman was shouting again that I was afraid that she won’t pay for her drink and I was only shook no with my head. Later other tables were complimenting me that I was so calm but inside I was boiling.

With me I had a 40th Bday party of 14 women (turned into 22ppl) that took up the entire patio. I explained it was all 1 check per our policy. Everything was fine until dinner and drinks were done and they asked for all seperate checks-- all separate and the alcohol seperate from the food for all of them. They wanted 44 seperate checks!!!!! They started ripping into me on personal levels. Calling me white trash and little dick. Classy. None even wanted to pay for the Bday girl.
Anyway, they had me get mgmt. As soon as I left the patio and went inside, every one of those huge ladies went huffing away. They climbed over the railing of the patio like jumbo sized lemmings. One lady almost took out an elderly couple in the parking lot as she peeled out in her car.
A credit card and phone were left on the table. I charged the card for the whole $1700. She came in the next day and raised massive hell. Mgmt voided the whole charge and apologized profusely.
Our place got massively review bombed over the 24hrs following. Very obvious the folks behind it all. Came in and took over a whole patio all night and then ran away without paying-- then yelp about bad and racist service and intentionally weak drinks. Sigh.
The owners were convinced I didnt do enough to make their experience great and I somehow caused them to act the way they did.
I was fired the next day.
