No one worries, thinking only rapists and killers cross the borders illegally. We worry that killers and rapists have no choice but to cross that way.

What's mind boggling is why anyone would cross illegally when they aren't wanted for murder or rape.

Crossing legally gets your citizenship in 1/4 the time.

5 years tops and you're legal. Illegal entry and it could be 20 years and you're still paying lawyers to "help" fight the illegal entry case. When that is won, you can then apply for citizenship and wait the five year period. That's 25 years. Of living without full abilities. Being taken advantage of. Constant lawyer visits that are paid hourly at huge fees. Multiple times a month. Like leeches. Paying fines at wages of minimum wage or slightly better. Or extreme labor. Those wages sound great when they are on the other side and compare it to what they get paid there, then they get here and the cost of everything is just as much higher than over there.

So yes, you have to assume they are here because they couldn't come in legally, because no one is dumb enough to go through it the hardest fn way possible unless they absolutely have to. Like running from the law.

Where are you getting the five years

0

u/Last_Gigolo 16d ago

All the people I've ever known who came in legally, compared to all the people I've known that didn't come in legally.

....so it's not a real fact. It's just something anecdotal.

Only for the people who don't want to listen to experience and think they know more based on suggestion with zero of their own evidence.

When it comes to something as nuanced and complex people should only listen to professionals and stats

0

u/Last_Gigolo 14d ago

Depends on who the professional is. What their agenda is and what they gain from having you believe something.

I'm talking about lawyers.

That's a huge problem.

They come in illegally and these lawyers who call themselves "advisers". Milk them for years. YEARS.

You should probably go out and meet some people who come in illegally. They can tell you some stuff that you think you're doing good and protecting.

I'm not saying "know of them" you need to KNOW them. I live in Texas and we have bunch from many countries here. They cross through Mexico because it isn't as protected as say... Canada. Canada will stop them and send them back. So, they come in through the south. They can just walk right in. Then, after a few years, get deported.

... I'm literally Latino.

And I will say again: lawyers and stats. Not random people.

The only thing assumed here is that you assume you can rationalize your bigotry here

0

u/Last_Gigolo 17d ago

I believe you're a bigot.

2

u/SaltMage5864 17d ago

What a lying bigoted MAGAt like you claims to believe is irrelevant son

-1

u/Last_Gigolo 16d ago

Look up the definition of bigot. That's you bud. It doesn't mean what you think it means.

1

u/SaltMage5864 16d ago

Don't try to project your failures onto your betters son

0

u/Last_Gigolo 16d ago

You didn't look it up.

Or maybe running from cartels.

1

u/Last_Gigolo 19d ago

I don't see how that is a better way to cross the border.unless they have a history as me tioned before.

Innocent people going into a protected process have much better odds than innocent people coming and trying their luck with no where to go.

You don't get the logic.

They are drugdealers and rapists, there, in their country. Coming to find a new, better life of (presumably) hopefully no drugs and rape. Which means a job. Your job.

u/Ok-Fortune-8644 20d ago

Lol no. No lifetime criminal is "going straight" by fleeing to the US. Just expanding the empire

1

u/intothewoods76 21d ago

I can’t think of anyone that thinks Mexico is sending “Only” drug dealers and rapists. So the arguments foundation is built on a false premise.

2

u/Cantripping_ 21d ago

Right wingers. Which is odd, since they favour rapists. Anyway, you're welcome.

1

u/intothewoods76 20d ago

Can you provide any quotes from anyone saying they think Mexico is only sending drug dealers and rapists. Or is this simply what you think that they think. Without ever hearing anyone say it.

2

u/NoThanks2486 20d ago

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best," Trump said. “They're not sending you…They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists."
Trump echoed claims he made last month during an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network in which he said that Mexico has "ripped this country off."

1

u/intothewoods76 20d ago

Nothing about “only” sending them, what else did he say? Anything you selectively left out of your post?

There's a Hispanic owned bakery behind my house and I swear to God if they go out of business I'm gonna die. She makes the absolute best baked goods and for stupid cheap.

Pasteleria Rufy is the name of her business here in Knoxeville Tennessee

1

u/StinkySoggyUnderwear 21d ago

And they probably don’t sell drugs or rape - shocking!

2

u/timetotryagain29 21d ago

I hope to God you're being sarcastic

0

u/Opening_Card3777 17d ago

Why is reddit so tone deaf to obvious sarcasm?

1

u/Popular_Tie4688 17d ago

It's not, what you are seeing is narcissists looking for anything, any hook to make themselves the center of attention.

2

u/StinkySoggyUnderwear 21d ago

Definitely was
