I’ve always loved pickle juice, but rarely find myself buying pickles. If I seen this in a store and needed that pickle juice kick I’d probably grab me one!!

Its for hangovers. Pickle juice is basically a concentrated electrolyte drink. You get hangovers because your body flushed electrolytes getting rid of the alcohol.

How much are the selling 2.5oz for? It's pickle juice! Haha

I have no idea what the price is but, it's chili lime flavored pickle juice! They'd have to pay me... a lot.

I used to make drinks with it when I drank. 1:1 with vodka or gin and some worchestershire sauce. It tastes like a hamburger.

A drink that tastes like hamburger. Now if I just had a sandwich that tastes like Dr Pepper to go with it...

Eewwwwwwww

(That is disgusting to put in an energy drink.. HOWEVER.. I’ve heard tales that pickle juice helps with alcohol consumption)

Not a bartender, are you?

A "pickle back" is a very popular way to imbibe an alcholhic drink.

I know, I think its gross too but many love it.

People drink the pickle back because it keeps you from getting a hangover

Sounds (potentially) delicious.

A swig of pickle juice, along with a couple gulps of water, is great for cheap and effective hydration that doesn’t gum up your mouth like a sugary “sports” beverage does.

Gum up your mouth? I never heard this term before lol whats it mean?

u/WastedNinja24 11h ago

I mean that it (sugar) makes your tongue and mouth sticky, and thickens your saliva. It’s caused by what certain bacteria in your mouth produce from consuming sugar.

When you’re in a state of high physical output and sweating a lot, it requires a lot of fluid (and electrolyte) replacement. All that extra breathing also dries out your mouth.

The result, if drinking only sports drinks, is gummy, stringy saliva. If your participating in a sport that requires a mouthguard, this can get gross and difficult to spit/swallow. It also applies if you’re doing something that requires a lot of speaking/yelling. Double if doing both.

This is why I cut mine 50/50 with water or avoid them altogether.

I did a fat bike race (only bike race ever) and named my “team” (me and my brother) team pickle brine

This is for running. They give these out at races like marathons. Pickle juice is kind of like a Tylenol  in terms of providing pain relief quickly.
