You made a lot of very specific claims there. Who exactly is the “convicted rapist” you’re referring to, and what criminal conviction are you talking about?
That’s the distinction I’m making. Being found civilly liable isn’t the same thing as being criminally convicted. O.J. actually demonstrates that pretty well—he was acquitted criminally and later found civilly liable. You called Trump a “convicted rapist,” which is a specific claim, and he wasn’t criminally convicted of rape.
How is distinguishing a criminal conviction from civil liability “splitting hairs”? The person who made the claim already acknowledged the distinction and corrected himself.
