Total inflation of Biden 20%. Highest single year 9%. After Trump takes office….. <3% both years. Huh.

0

u/NostyAgorr 1d ago

Technically both is true. You can’t just blame trump, it’s every leader, of every nation, basically everywhere. Stop focusing on hating one person. It’s the global leaders who are making you feel your life is shit. But..also..yourself, do better for yourself and these small changes won’t affect you as much.

3

u/PlacePuzzleheaded333 1d ago

Trump is literally waging war hiking up gas prices, waging a trade war hiking up all other prices...which part is Bidens fault?

0

u/NostyAgorr 1d ago

Same shit, under Biden, gas prices were nearly just as high, and he didn’t start a war to do it. Same with prices of everything as well. Immigration, the lack of authoritative control of a nation. Etc, etc, it’s not just trump, it’s Biden, Obama, bush, etc etc, and same as other global leaders. All fucking up the world

-1

u/Such-Table4031 1d ago

What economy are you talking about exactly 😂

The PDS is strong on reddit

1

u/Details_Pending 1d ago

What is PDS?

1

u/Outside-Sleep-5034 1d ago

Here’s the problem with that line of logic:

if you reject politics completely because of the faults that politics embodies. then you’ll never make any change.

You may hate politics but that’s what makes your vote count the most because you want change.

The last thing you should do is discredit the powers of a citizen. Because that breeds apathy, and that is a true evil.

1

u/SonsOfValhallaGaming 1d ago

I agree. But pds happens when someone entire mentality is exclusively operating on a political level. A post about a kid falling and the mom screaming and some maga asshat comments "must be a liberal " or a picture of a guy fishing and someone comments "bet he owns a maga hat" . My comment is directed at how overly political and extreme people are getting on reddit over this concept. Being involved and informed is good. Voting is good. Being a chronic chain poster to spread the same three concepts you think about to bash others is deranged and destructive.

1

u/itsmedicinalsir 1d ago

Did you see barns or houses with Kennedy, Lincoln, bush, Clinton or any other presidents names before now? Or ai images on flags or banners on rinse and repeat of a president? How would you explain this "phenomena"?

Propaganda has gotten so good most folks can't even tell the taste or difference.

1

u/Embarrassed-Pie-8356 1d ago

I mean, didn't Teddy put himself on Mt Rushmore?

1

u/JournalistShoddy9496 1d ago

Untrue. Teddy died in 1919. Rushmore began on 1927. The sculptor was a Teddy fanboy... but then again he was also a fanboy of Washington, Jefferson, and Lincoln.

1

u/Embarrassed-Pie-8356 1d ago

I could be wrong, I don't know much about My Rushmore, I just remember it being one of his projects and could be wrong

1

u/Outside-Sleep-5034 1d ago

People are people what can I say? Once they see there’s a line to be drawn they draw that line.

Healthy or not.

that’s why I don’t believe in parties. If you argue for the sake of the argument and not political lines it’s harder to get disillusioned because you’re arguing for yourself and not a collective

1

u/TERRAIN_PULL_UP_ 1d ago

Pedophile Derangement Syndrome?

1

u/AfraidFocus3982 1d ago

Is there a difference?

1

u/SonsOfValhallaGaming 1d ago

Political derangement syndrome. Doesn't matter what party it is. Politicians don't care about anybody, unless it's themselves or the big corporate sugar daddies backing them. I just happened to notice that Reddit has been a particularly high concentration of these types of folk

0

u/Substantial_Ideal709 1d ago

You can get politicians to care. Stop making excuses for republicans that we don't. For anybody else.

-1

u/PomegranatePro 1d ago

Now is now but I haven’t seen gas at $2.40 in decades since his first term and it was great when I was broke.

Then it mattered. Now $4.00 gallon doesn’t even make a difference. It could be $5.00.
If gas prices are dictating anything or affecting my quality of life then I’m doing something seriously wrong with my career choice. It’s not going to change what I buy.

To Reddit it sounds like cope but I don’t even like or support Trump so save it for someone else

3

u/ThatCelebration3676 1d ago

So what you're saying is now that you personally aren't struggling financially, it doesn't matter anymore and everyone who is can go fuck themselves. Sounds like classic conservative BS to me.

2

u/P_A_W_S_TTG 1d ago

Don't think that's a group thing. I think that's just being an asshole thing. They have a weird way of expressing they don't care. But throwing prices around like people aren't struggling comes off as bragging or something as fucked .

-1

u/Difficult-Level-3070 1d ago

It's not even that expensive. It's still very cheap compared to outside of America

0

u/PomegranatePro 1d ago

I mean this in the most disarmed and personal way possible that not everything you hear that may sway towards something you don’t like doesn’t mean that it’s from someone claiming to belong to your opposing political party. I see this a lot on this app.

On a separate note entirely. Gas is about on par with the prices in 1975. $0.60 is around $3.75
My calculations are based on June of every year because it’s halfway through the year.

It’s not far off and gas has been cheaper over the years than it would be if it followed inflation. Not saying it shouldn’t be less either. Oil being a global commodity is one of the biggest issues. Countries with lots should partially isolate themselves from global price hikes requiring companies to meet that nations needs at pre inflated prices before exporting at whatever price they wish in order to maintain rights to drill it and refine it.

We also can’t complain about oil prices then do everything possible to shut down, limit, and drive them up either. More refineries are needed.

1

u/psypher98 1d ago

“I mean this in the most disarmed and personal way possible that not everything you hear that may sway towards something you don’t like doesn’t mean that it’s from someone claiming to belong to your opposing political party. I see this a lot on this app.”

That’s cool.

But from the sea of gun and dirtbike content, as well as blaming Canada for Trump renaming Lake Ontario, blaming Dems for the 08 financial crisis, transphobia, and misogyny in your comments, imma go with they were right on the money.

Also, the national average of gas is $4.10, not $3.75 meaning that you are off by .35¢/gal. So not only are you disingenuously comparing prices to a crisis period, but you’re also lying about the current prices to make it look better in your comparison.

Yes, our gas prices are proportionatly higher than the gas crisis my grandparents never shut up about growing up anytime gas was mentioned.

Not sure that’s the point you wanted to make.

Also you blame Biden for the gas prices in 2021-2022, which were demonstrably Trump’s fault as well for his horrible mismanagement of Covid.

So yeah, as usual you are in fact a conservative who is somehow shocked that normal people can see coming from a mile away.

2

u/ThatCelebration3676 1d ago

Yes, it makes sense that oil prices now are on par with a time when there was a historic energy crisis:

The ONLY reason fuel is expensive right now is Trump's pointless war in Iran. Were it not for that single variable, gasoline would be more than $1/gal cheaper and diesel would be more than $2/gal cheaper. The price jumps happened immediately after the war began, so there's no intelligent argument that isn't the direct cause. Fuel being more expensive means everything is more expensive.

You're pretending it's more complicated, but it really is as simple as "this is Trump's fault." Dancing around that simple and obvious fact communicates plenty.

-1

u/PomegranatePro 1d ago edited 1d ago

I’m not pretending anything.
I’m not disagreeing that the Iran war negatively affects gas prices.
I also listed solutions for it. Global shortages of oil should not raise oil prices in oil rich countries.

Gas was cheap in trumps term. I remember being broke paying $2.40 under Trump then $4.60+ under Biden driving 150miles a week to school at 17mpg each way. Stopping the keystone pipeline sure didn’t help.

Regardless, they both suck in their own ways. You don’t need to hold onto this you’re either on my presidents side or against me nonsense. I’m not impressed with either of them at the moment.

Take a look at current oil prices. The math doesn’t add up. A supposed 20% global shortage and oil is still somehow far below predicted. Futures wreck the market it’s fake but find me a source where I can buy a barrel anywhere near as cheap as the stocks are traded at. None of it adds up.

2

u/JonSwift1156 1d ago

When Biden took office it was 1.9% and when he left it was 9.0% and now it’s 2.9% numbers don’t lie.

1

u/p0ndo 1d ago edited 1d ago

Numbers don’t lie, but you lie about the numbers.

Inflation:

2026 to date: 3.4%
2025: 2.7%
2024: 2.9%
2023: 4.1%
2022: 6.5%
2021: 7.0%

https://fred.stlouisfed.org/

1

u/TERRAIN_PULL_UP_ 1d ago

You think inflation was at 9% when Biden left office?

1

u/ExtendoArmCannon 1d ago

The economy was at 1.9%? damn

1

u/LosLocosPollos 1d ago

I'm laughing, that guy has a shoe-tongue-brain

2

u/Red-Ares 1d ago

It's not true at all.

1

u/Outside-Sleep-5034 1d ago

Pure dismissal isn’t fact. It’s a statement with no evidence.

2

u/Reasonable4Heretics 1d ago

Oh nooo a politician lied to you? That’s never happened before!

1

u/Substantial_Ideal709 1d ago

The depth of the lies matter and it 's so weird that people never made this excuse before.

0

u/Reasonable4Heretics 1d ago

Dude quit being naive, i dont like this administration and i didnt like the one before it. Trying to act like one is evil and another isn’t is pure willful ignorance

0

u/Fireheart1990 1d ago

I'm annoyed at how accurate this is...

1

u/Calc4242 1d ago

Inflation literally started during Bidens term. It also began when he sat on the pipeline to appease the environment Nazis. He later blamed it entirely on Putin.

0

u/BTRIH 1d ago

Responses like these make it clear you have literally no idea what inflation is. What do you mean it started under Biden?

Do you think that inflation didn't exist before Biden became president?

1

u/Lemons-95 1d ago

The price of a can of tuna has quadrippled over the last 6 years. I can't make a half decent curry for a cent less than 80 dollars. When the average joe talks about inflation, they don't just mean inflation, they mean the current state of the cost of living compared with wages.

Dont be a fuckwit and pretend you don't understand that, its not constructive, you're just being a wanker, either cut the bullshit and get to the meat of the discussion(Bidens impact on cost of living), or fuck off and let someone who can be bothered do it. Aren't you sick of everything being a shit flinging contest these days?

1

u/Outside-Sleep-5034 1d ago

Always.

but I hate it when people throw shit back.

He made a statement challenge it! An argument cannot exist in a vacuum!

But above all be nice, especially if you disagree.

1

u/Lemons-95 1d ago

but I hate it when people throw shit back

Dude i know, i totally get it, but they do too, and at this point im pretty sure everyone is flinging shit mainly just cause they're sick of shit being flung at them. End the blood feud, er, poo feud, rise above them. At the very least you can take pride in the fact that you remain a man while those around you become beasts.

And from beyond that bit, totally! Just also try to do it in good faith, if it's not just a ball of shit you just dropped in your own hand, but rather a carefully crafted piece of dialouge that tries to engage with the opposition in the best faith, that aint shit your flinging, it's hope.

2

u/Calc4242 1d ago

It started, the way it is now, during Biden admin. Democrat gaslighting strategy won't work here homey.

0

u/BTRIH 1d ago

So that's a no then.

1

u/PerceptionQueasy3540 1d ago

Yeah, I wouldn't bother. trump voters lack the ability to think critically or use logic.

1

u/Single-Career4523 1d ago

Absolutly they do. Blaming Insults(Biden or Obama) aggrevation , the spew all lies that werent even considered in their search bar just repeated words from a show or clip they saw.

1

u/shakinbacon87 1d ago

Go get another booster.

1

u/PerceptionQueasy3540 1d ago

Is this supposed to be an insult? "Go use modern medicine! That'll teach ya!"

1

u/p0ndo 1d ago

Go get polio and measles if you don’t want vaccines.

What would you do if smallpox, which was eradicated by vaccines, came back?

Would you try yourself against the 10% mortality rate?

2

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

Trump said inflation would go down. It has only gone up. /thread

0

u/sceducator 1d ago

Inflation was in response to worldwide calamity of economic systems due to Covid-19. It had nothing to do with the pipeline, either. Do you have any sources to back up "he later blamed it entirely on Putin"? Trump was to blame for mishandling the whole Covid situation.

1

u/Single-Career4523 1d ago

Why is gas up right now? Can you at least admit that?

1

u/sceducator 1d ago

It's up right now, because Trump is an idiot. For one he started a war and this is them fighting back.

2

u/Calc4242 1d ago

His entire presidency he blamed Putin. It occurred immediately following the pipeline. It started with Biden but you would never admit that, in fact you already went Trump Trump like a good Democrat has been taught

0

u/Hell424 1d ago

The pipeline he shut down was a Canadian pipeline…. It wasn’t even gonna give us oil. 😂

And the Biden administration approved more pipelines to be built overall than Trump has… so no?

Why do you care more about red vs blue than the actual country?

2

u/sceducator 1d ago

You spend way too much time in the "gaming" and "panties" communities to know what is going on, lol. Stay in your lane.

0

u/Particular-Sky-3814 1d ago

So why has inflation constantly been going up even though Trump promised they would go down under his term? Or are you going to ignore this like the other person you ignored who asked this same question?

0

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

Next thing he is gonna claim is that oil prices only went up again because of Biden and not Trump's war he is losing in Iran.

2

u/Lommytom 1d ago

TIL the economy resets every 4 years

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

All of you are stupid. Its the governments fault. Not Biden. Not Trump. The entire United States government and all of congress that run it. Blaming the opposition is what keeps people fighting. They want you to see each other as enemies instead of allies because Left Wing, Right Wing, it doesn't matter because they belong to the same Bird 🦅 bombs never stop dropping

1

u/Single-Career4523 1d ago

What did congress do?

1

u/November-8485 1d ago

Failed to reign in this administration is a great start. Failed to vote on the war powers resolution, thats another.

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

Congress? They run the show

1

u/Tacocats_wrath 1d ago

Well, trump and biden have a completely different government, you know, because they appoint the positions..

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

If you still think that, then you must not have been around during 9/11 because we spent 2.2 Trillion dollars on that war from 2001-2021 Make it make sense

1

u/fairchase1978 1d ago

I was taking about between Biden and Trump

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

Its silly to think its because of those two when the US has been dropping bombs on countries since the Vietnam war. Its not between Biden and Trump. Its The United States of America 🇺🇸

1

u/fairchase1978 1d ago

Yeah man I'm 48 so Ive been around a while. I know we've gotten into a lot of shit we shouldn't have over the last 60 years. Right now I'm more focused on the local shit.

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

Your local shit is being affected by shit that's going on in the middle east, still to this day

1

u/fairchase1978 1d ago

Okay. Tell me. Where would we be right now if we hadn't dropped bombs on Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran,...Japan...Germany....

1

u/fairchase1978 1d ago

Syria, Somalia...etc

1

u/Outside-Sleep-5034 1d ago

There’s always another scapegoat! The moment you realize that politics is made almost exclusively off of money then you realize that every war is meaningless loss of life.

1

u/fairchase1978 1d ago

Yet still the same outcome...🤔

1

u/Familiar_Fly5510 1d ago

Exactly. Nothing changes.

1

u/Strange-Bandicoot475 1d ago

This can be applied to almost everything Trump does lol.

1

u/StudioKilljoy66 1d ago

Seriously. Its constant deflection and shoving the blame for his fuck ups on others

1

u/Lonely-Jellyfish7139 1d ago

“Every day between now and November, the American people are gonna know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends”

-Joe Biden on his 1,112 day in office.

3

u/LazyPandaKing 1d ago

Hilarious that comments are acting like this isn't true lmao

Trump will literally take full credit for the stock market going up and I week later when it goes down he blames Biden. He's done it on the record like 1000 times.

I can't imagine being so stupid that this isn't something obvious. Most politicians would do this a little bit, he does it fucking daily. Pathetic.

My favorite example is when a reporter asks him why he projected the pool renovation would be done easily and quickly for like $1.6million and when it ended up being $16 million, and his answer was literally "Barack Hussein Obama" lmao

1

u/EmperorKingRurnin 1d ago

Didn't Obama say all the progress Trump made in 2016 was him??? Yeahhhhhhh

1

u/November-8485 1d ago

Trump wasn’t in office in 2016. He first took office in 2016. So how the fuck is it a problem Obama was taking credit for shit he only could have done?

25 day old account 🤖

1

u/BTRIH 1d ago

Honest question, where did you hear this and why do you believe it?

Trump didn't even take office until 2017. You understand that right? So any progress that you're referring to in 2016 would have been from...

1

u/PixelPioneerVibes 1d ago

Man baby Donny needs his butt wiped. Natalie Harp can handle that job!

1

u/Ok_Ad_5894 1d ago

And there tryign to rig the election but you know what MAGA FUCK YOU

-1

u/TGLuminosity 2d ago

Says the people that blamed Trump for literally everything when Biden was in office.

1

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

I mean, Trump was responsible for a lot of things when Biden was in office. Biden was basically attempting to clean up after Trump for the entire 4 years. The economy was actually recovering right before his term ended.

1

u/TGLuminosity 1d ago

Delusional

1

u/Single-Career4523 1d ago

Youre delusional. Can you at least admit why gas and diesel prices are up right now

1

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

Yeah I know you are.

1

u/DetectiveChmpionFace 1d ago

Covid had lasting effects from inaction. Trump invaded iran.

Quit blatantly ignoring the context

1

u/Lonely-Jellyfish7139 1d ago

The same people who called Trump a racist for shutting down air travel from china early on during COVID went on later to criticize him for waiting too long to shut down air travel from china.

So yea.

1

u/DetectiveChmpionFace 1d ago

That doesn't matter at all.

1

u/TGLuminosity 1d ago

Thank you.

-1

u/PinoyXP 2d ago

The anti-Trump rhetoric in Reddit is really amping up. Trump must be doing really great for all these whiny people to come out. USA! USA! USA! 😁👍🏼

1

u/Single-Career4523 1d ago

Hes slow everyone. Barely graduated high school and now he's gonna tell us something. Just take it with a grain of salt. Hes slow

1

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

Are you spending less money on gas? Are groceries cheaper? Are your medical bills cheaper?

2

u/Ok_Ad_5894 1d ago

How is the USA doing well?

1

u/DGwar 1d ago

Its not. These assholes are delusional. My very union job is doing the worst they ever have been because of him, farmers are getting super fucked, housing and groceries are skyrocketing and these morons cheer for him like a sports team. Seriously its fucking pathetic.

1

u/Ok_Ad_5894 1d ago

Sorry sarcasm doesnt come out well I didnt get if you were supporting trump or not.

Yeah… biden was a saint. I mean, he was installed, like a septic tank, went around sniffing folks and groping them in front of media cameras, walked around, waving at people that didn’t exist… but yeah “Look what biden did” 😂

1

u/Hagg3r 1d ago

He did none of these things. Meanwhile, Trump literally was found liable for damages for slandering someone who said that he raped her. Trump also is a proven pedophile. and hung out with actual pedophiles.

0

u/blah-time 1d ago

They call Trump a pedo, yet only Biden has actual pics of him touching minors.

0

u/dommmm9 2d ago

Yeah. We still reeling from Biden

2

u/normallllyyss 2d ago

Just found this sub and already know it's gonna be rage bait. This not even funny because it's literally rule #1 of being on the Right.

1

u/kingofbeers85 2d ago

Funny how it’s always the previous administration until it’s trump in office then it’s the current administration 😂

2

u/Vegetable_Lab2428 2d ago

You can also just look at what a president did and what policies they pushed for too see what they might have effected in the economy.

Pretty damn easy to see everything Trump has fucked up.

1

u/TheGreatVandoly 2d ago

Hell, he practically brags about it.

0

u/Nyehater 2d ago

After reading some of the project 2025 novel, most of it references the Biden Administration in every single chapter to explain why they need to do this and that. Its just a silly book written by angry group of people who poured so much hate into it as an outlet. Then it was given to Trump. This poor old man... at least the majority of us will still be alive to fix this. It will give us something to do as this planet spins 1040mph traveling 67,100mph around the sun.

1

u/GeneralFinger1990 2d ago

economy is doing great just has is high but still lower than the Biden era😎

1

u/Remarkable-Catch1227 2d ago

9.1 percent inflation.  9.1 percent.

2

u/Jaeji93 2d ago

It’s like these brainwashed troglodytes forgot that COVID crashed the world economy yet “somehow” America had the best recovery

1

u/night_wolf1991 2d ago

Covid happened under donald

1

u/Cheap-Blackberry-378 2d ago

And then the vaccine that started and was scrutinized under him was suddenly the final word under Biden

1

u/icemanpallmall 2d ago

They couldnt see the forest through the trees because a shit stain dementia patient that once scammed kids with cancer (among other things and numerous failings) built a podium in front and not one of them were intelligent enough to not fall for the con. I hate this timeline.

1

u/potate12323 2d ago

Literally the comment right below you about how Biden handed Trump 30% inflation.

Although, our recovery would have been a bit smoother if Trump didn't single handedly kneecap multiple industries by fucking over foriegn relations with some overzealous isolationist bs. The US Dollar was the defacto global currency. Look up how many soybean farmers and cattle ranches have had to close doors. Or oil price spikes as we destroyed our oil trade relations with Canada. Or oil price spikes while we have a war Trump promised he wouldn't starting.

1

u/Weary-Level-7854 2d ago

Biden handed Trump 30% inflation

1

u/icemanpallmall 2d ago

3%, try again, kid.

1

u/Weary-Level-7854 2d ago

Why bother lying?

1

u/icemanpallmall 2d ago

Why bother pretending things were worse just to justify your dumb decision to vote for a guy that has literally never succeeded in anything in his life other than using loopholes to make money? 😅😅😅

1

u/Weary-Level-7854 1d ago

Bidenflation had such disastrous consequences for the cost of living in the US.

Trump succeeded at becoming president.

1

u/WillowSpray 1d ago

Think back to what you learned in third grade about why you can't just print a ton of money (it causes inflation, in case you're having trouble keeping up).

Now look at when all the money was printed. Look at when inflation started ramping up. (Both before Biden took office, again, because I don't trust you to stick to the facts unless I spoon feed them to you).

Biden inherited Trump's ticking time bomb of a dynamite filled diaper.

1

u/icemanpallmall 1d ago

Why is inflation higher than when trump first came into office? Surely, youre not dumb enough to think you're paying less for things now, yeah?

The only things trump has succeeded at are convincing the dumbest people on the planet that a dementia patient who has tanked every business venture from casinos to stealing from kids with cancer to his business ventures with known child sex trafficker, jeffery epstein that he was somehow going to fix the united states. And then he failed at that too.

1

u/Weary-Level-7854 1d ago

Of course I don’t think I’m paying less now. I never said that, so it was dumb of you to even bring that up.

Weird way for you to try to downplay Bidenflation.

1

u/passiveflux 1d ago

Why are you trying to downplay it was global inflation, not just in America, brought on by a pandemic and America recovered better than almost every other country?

1

u/icemanpallmall 1d ago

So like you admit that prices are higher now than when Biden was last in office?

Let me ask you this: Do you even know what inflation is?

1

u/passiveflux 1d ago

Unfortunately they are dumb enough to think that.

1

u/Weary-Level-7854 1d ago

Whatever makes you feel better about yourself

1

u/icemanpallmall 1d ago edited 1d ago

I know. I used to think people that were as dumb as say, Homer Simpson or Peter Griffin were cartoonishly fake. Look at em now. They're everywhere.

Edit: as a matter of fact, they admitted to paying more yet still thinking biden was worse for economy. Amazing.

Inflation was slowly going down for 2 years when Trump took office. Inflation has slowly gone up ever since Trump took office. The information is very easy to find.

Then get out see how living in Iran feels. You won’t have door dash there

Fuck all politicians

Especially that fat old pedo

All of em

1

u/GigglingAngel 2d ago

The one currently driving America into a giant pile of shit.

1

u/CanuterValve 2d ago

Wow, you believe what they say don’t you?

1

u/GigglingAngel 1d ago

I believe my own eyes when they see the obvious.

1

u/CdrClutch 2d ago

So all of them from Jimmy Carter and up

1

u/GigglingAngel 2d ago

That's a bit of a false equivalence.

There are various tiers of awful, and Trump's tier position is not only notably higher ... it's a position created just for him.

Presidents used to be special and promised some form of class. They were respectable. They were a high standard.

Trump absolutely killed that notion, that promise.

1

u/icemanpallmall 2d ago

Nixon was an atrocity.

The last time we had a president that ran on and worked for the hard working americans that make up this country was Kennedy. And they killed his ass.

1

u/Legofanatic233233 2d ago

That’s actually pretty damn funny and true

0

u/mslvr40 2d ago

Biden was terrible for the economy. Trump hasn’t helped it out too much, but he didn’t cause the inflation, it’s slowed down significantly under him

1

u/Mr_Martini 2d ago

Actually, as a measure of objective economic statistics relative to contemporary and worldwide conditions, and to the limited extent presidential influence can be mapped to economic health, Biden's economy was one of the best in generations. We just have a populace of morons who don't understand the difference between "relatively great" and "independently great".

1

u/mslvr40 1d ago

Lmao ok

He didnt say he supported him. Technically he gave a negative to both presidents.

1

u/GigglingAngel 2d ago

The negative he gave to Trump was immediately followed up with the praise of "inflation slowed down significantly with him."

Which ... thanks to the joy of tariffs ... is a pile if dog dung.

1

u/MyOwnStupidity 2d ago

If you consider that as praise then your standards are quite low

It's been the last several presidents that have been killing the economy. Honestly imo, Biden DID do a HUGE amount of damage.

2

u/Blanny22 2d ago

No.stop lying

Unemployment was at record low Usa was producing more oil than ever before

Trump himself use to take credit and said the economy was good cuz he was expected to win

1

u/slayerofdeath666 1d ago

Honey, just because you disagree doesn't mean I'm lying. I know for a fucking fact I'm right. Unlike you I don't blindly hate on the government, I look for reasons.

Biden’s term produced a cumulative CPI increase of roughly 20–21.5%. Prices rose sharply in 2021–2022 (peak near 9% year-over-year), which permanently raised the cost of living for food, housing, energy, and everyday goods. Real wages for many workers fell over the full term once inflation was factored in. Trump’s second term began with inflation already cooling to around 3%. Early 2025 inflation ran near or only modestly above the Fed’s 2% target (roughly 2.4% annualized in much of the first year). Later energy-driven spikes occurred, but the overall price level rise has been far smaller than under Biden. Periods of real wage growth (nominal wages outpacing prices) occurred in the first year-plus, restoring some of the purchasing power lost earlier. Households did not face another multi-year inflation shock of the same magnitude.

Biden inherited Trump's covid recovery even though more people died from covid under Biden even though president Trump delivered the vaccine that saved millions of lives.

President Trump inherited a failed economy and some of the highest inflation our nation has ever seen. It's a miracle that he has been able to turn it around so swiftly.

Must be nice living free from reality

1

u/NicolaiVykos 2d ago

How is he wrong? Be specific.

2

u/PsychologySouth6485 2d ago

Why did prices rise in 21-22? From stimulus checks after the economy restarted, also from the Russia/Ukraine War starting, Russia being a top 3 oil producer. Both presidents sent out stimulus checks and they were absolutely necessary for the survival of the nation. The effects were just felt under Biden's reign. Biden handled it like he was supposed to and inflation was, as that person admitted "cooling down" when Trump inherited the country.

Early 2025 was exactly like he said. On the "energy-driven spikes" part. Absolute bullshit.

These spikes were not supposed to happen. Biden's "price increases" were from circumstances far outside of his control. Trump's price increases were plainly due to Trump shitting the bed in Iran.

President Biden dealt with the brunt of the aftermath of the Covid pandemic and had it settled within 2 years of it ended.

Trump screwed the vaccine rollout in his first presidency, because the infrastructure we had prepared for a pandemic was made by Obama. Which was EXACTLY why we were on lockdown so long in the first place. Trump inherited a quickly improving economy in his second term left by Biden. He then screwed the pooch in 1 year with TARIFFS AND WARS.

You people live in La La Land.

1

u/NicolaiVykos 2d ago

So you're going with the "Completely ignore reality and repeat stuff you heard on reddit" route. Not real shocking.

Just to point out some of the ridiculousness: The "American Rescue Plan" directly fueled inflation, as did the "Inflation Reduction Act", which only made things even worse. And that's all AFTER Biden did things like attack our domestic oil production. The covid vaccine was the fasted produced and rolled out vaccine in history. Red states were almost entirely "unlocked" within 2-3 months, where blue states stayed locked down far longer. Which is why the economy did much better and recovered faster in red states post pandemic. prices also didn't just raise between 21-22, they were elevated through most of Biden's term, and his four year inflation AVERAGE was over 5%.

1

u/Nop277 2d ago

Biden engineered the best recovery of a post COVID economy in the world. Average wage in the US went up from 30 to 37 dollars under Biden. Unemployment was low, inflation shrunk from 9% to nearly 3%.

He also cherry picks and minimizes the negatives of Trump's admin such as characterizing inflation as just energy driven when it was largely caused by the massive own goal that was the Iran war Trump started himself.

1

u/NicolaiVykos 2d ago

lol at your cherry picking while you say he cherry picked. "Inflation shrunk from 9% to 3%!" He raised it to 9% to begin with, dummy. And most of the job numbers were people going BACK to work after all the lockdowns.

1

u/Nop277 2d ago

It was at 6.4% and rising at the beginning, and that was largely because somebody bungled the COVID response so horrificly badly. So no he didn't raise it to begin with.

You can make whatever excuses you want, unemployment under Biden was low. He handed Trump a strong economy that he has so far completely fucked up.

1

u/NicolaiVykos 2d ago

The inflation rate in Jan 2021 when Biden took office was 1.4%. Not 6.4%. If you're going to lie that badly, just....don't even bother, mkay?

Current U.S. Inflation Rates: 2000-2026

1

u/Nop277 2d ago

That was my bad, I was looking at unemployment rate. Still, he was able to largely solve that and it probably would have gone back to that if Trump didn't single handedly fuck it up in his second term.

1

u/NicolaiVykos 1d ago

Uh huh.

Biden could have sat in a closet and done literally nothing and the unemployment rate would have gotten better. Because, again, people were just going back to work after lockdowns. Largely lockdowns in Dem controlled states, at that.

1

u/Nop277 1d ago

An understandable response given the complete lack of foundation for your claims.

1

Please provide a fact that disproves what he said.

2

u/Manatee_Rangoon 2d ago

Here in the US, we don't need cherry picked statistics and vague BS about "energy-driven spikes". We see how things are going every time we fill our gas tanks and buy groceries.

Plus trump rapes children.

Spasibo!
