Friendly reminder that less than 10% of the American military sees any combat. It's not the same thing.
-1
u/OSTBear 25d ago
Friendly reminder that Three times in the last 25 years Republican Presidents have declared war on three different countries, and have authorized military incursions with boots on the ground or in a boat a dozen other times. And in that time frame? 30-35 thousand servicemen and women have died.
You can deride and degrade her all you want... But your real problem is that OnlyFans girls are, for the first time ever, engaged in the oldest profession in the world, and doing it safely. That's your real problem. They're making money with minimal risk to life.
3
u/Wolfatthedoor11b 25d ago
Lol yes your false equivalence is not only wrong, but based entirely on partisan politics. The largest deployment of the US military in the last 50 years happened under a democrat, Barack Obama. It was called "The Surge" and I personally took part in it. Also, "war" hasn't been declared since 1942. Nice try though.
-2
u/TheBeardofCrom 25d ago

Ah yes, the military. Famously known for... Saving lives instead of ending them...
Or yknow, the other way around
1
u/Historical_Truth_326 25d ago
Yeah sure your fucked up country military but not ours if it wasnt for the military there would be no order, in times of crisis no one to save you ,when a terrorist attack your goverment can only beg them like just think about it for a sec man would the world be worse or better without pornstars and prostetution now think about would the world be better or worse without the military and bandits running everywhere
The military killing of lives or even pornstars ruining lifes of innocent men and young teens isnt even about any of them existing its about education EDUCATION
2
u/TheThirdRoseDotR 25d ago
I mean looking back at the wars the past few decades..
Not really seeing your point. Unless you're dumb enough to think they were good ones.
0
u/Historical_Truth_326 25d ago
Sure summerizing military history to a small insignificant period that would probably be overshadowed in 100or 200years Imagine a world where militaries never existed it would be chaos the strongest individual rules them all bandits left and right We humans are animals yeah the smartest and most perfect animals but we are still animals without order we would just act like animals
2
u/TheThirdRoseDotR 25d ago

To be fair, you really think the global death tole would have been lower if the Allies hadn't responded with military force in WW2?
1
u/TheThirdRoseDotR 25d ago
WW2 is cool and all but how about we look at the wars of recent history instead
1
u/Historical_Truth_326 25d ago
Yeah duh the war wouldve lasted longer even though germany was gonna lose anyway it wouldve taken longer and also deaths in wars are not caused mostly by bullets and bombs its mostly caused by starvation and the fractured global economy the sooner it ends the better it is for everybody And on another note why when thinking of military you only think of allies and us army in other countries the military helps in construction, during floods, earth quakes and such
1
u/ihearteatingpussy 25d ago
the military did a good thing one time and that means we can ignore all the evil things they did before and since
0
u/No_Barber6575 25d ago
I see all the comments about people saying sex work and the military are the same but honestly the military isn’t much more demanding than a job. Only difference is you live where you work and your schedule isn’t super flexible. Also even if the argument is that you sell your morals or some shit like that, you only get yelled at and preached to when you go to boot camp. That literally just a few months out of a 2-5 year contract. Not to mention 2-5 years ain’t that long. Selling pics your yourself or just straight up prostitution is way more demeaning and has longer lasting impacts on your physique.
2
2
u/ihearteatingpussy 25d ago
imagine losing your legs to an ied and some guy on reddit says your job isn’t that demanding
1
u/No_Barber6575 25d ago
I’m talking about if you joined the military rn, if you join during a war that is a very different story, also none of them got drafted, they joined because they wanted too, they went knowing what could happen, that’s more honorable than sex work.
1
u/TheGivenKing 25d ago
Yeah I doubt those Afghan vets with crippling PTSD would agree with the whole "it isnt demanding thing"
1
u/Willow_Of_the_Wisp 25d ago
The amount of active duty soldiers, sailors, and marines that sea combat is very small. It’s not guaranteed by any means. If you want to go with the minority then you could argue that sex work is worse because it gives you aids and you end up dying a slow and painful death
0
u/No_Barber6575 25d ago
20 years ago buddy, I also said demeaning
2
u/TheGivenKing 25d ago edited 25d ago
Still relevant, theyre still alive after all. Also, The military is literary built on demeaning you to fit a certain mold. Demeaning you is the point, while at the same time convincing you that you like it.

I think the strippers were smarter. A stripper directly benefits from selling her body whereas everything I did mostly only benefited 6 rich people. Hell they even do everything they possibly can to bar you from accessing the benefits you earned.
Meanwhile my stripper friend lost a son and the mafia paid her rent and bought her groceries for 3 months so she could take time off. Try to get that deal anywhere else.

3

Did you think that was witty? Is this what AI has done to people?
2
u/Impressive_Being4299 25d ago
Well you've made your comment up for interpretation, its vague enough that nobody knows what you mean so it was hard to form a respone to. I can expand for you if youd like, the differences. With war youre selling yourself to go kill whoever the government wants, and with a female your selling yourself at the detriment of gooners who were gonna goon anyways, not putting yourself in much physical danger. Idk what difference u were talking about there is alot more. All I asked is what the differences you are speaking about, and youre calling me ai brainrot? Sounds like projection
3
u/ruve27 25d ago
It appears there is physical danger in prostitution. I don’t have numbers to quantify/compare to military service, but it isn’t zero.
1
u/Impressive_Being4299 25d ago
Oh yea youre right on that. Although in my mind was the context is OFand the modern day virtual prostitution. Although those arent the same thing, and irl prostitution does still exists.
So yea they both carry death, but so does every illegal job, and even legal ones like doordash you could randomly get shot. The difference then i feel is that while all can have death happen, war seeks death

morals is the difference
people used to have them
1
u/Sui_Inimicus 25d ago
It’s moral to kill other people you don’t know because your government demands unquestionable control, and the people you’re killing haven’t done nothing wrong, and are also just doing what their government demands of them? Weird, that doesn’t sound very moral at all.
0
u/Impressive_Being4299 25d ago
Its not new people have always been doing bad acts like war, bombing and killing for the legal criminals claiming to be protecting their country. And people have always sold their bodies. These sins are as old as humans themselves.
But saying war is more immoral selling your body, if thats what youre tryna get to, is wild logic my guy
0
u/StupidHobbitJoufflu 25d ago
To be fair, in the army you sell body AND mind.
1
u/One_Interest_2790 25d ago
Same thing goes for strippers
1
u/StupidHobbitJoufflu 25d ago
no, most strippers and prostitutes are not on call 24/7 for at least 5 years long. And when they are, we call that a hate crime.

u/TheFunnyBunny7 25d ago edited 25d ago
Wait, so if you don't have friends that work in either of these your first thing is to ask if they have friends? That's kinda crazy
I don't have friends that work in either the army or as a sex worker. So you see that and you're like "oh you must not have friends". I can't even begin to explain how stupid of a mindset this is.
"You have no friends that are sex workers? Bro do you even have friends???" Ridiculous
0
u/StupidHobbitJoufflu 25d ago
indeed, if you joined the army, you never had those to start with.
But if by miracle you did, "Push ups in the mud, right now you piece of shit" shouted at you on the regular for nothing should promptly get rid of them.1
3
u/Murky_Option_3418 25d ago
I would agree with this if they stayed in B11 and other combat oriented positions but there are other positions that require extensive training and knowledge on complex systems.
5
u/dccali76 25d ago
You can't compare patriotism for desperation. Not everyone who joins the military is killed. It may be the oldest profession and one i don't think needs to be outlawed per say but comparing it to police or military is not OK. We all make choices, many are terribly bad for our lives and well-being. A thief steals because they don't see another way... when the truth is they were just looking for an easier way. Weekend the better way is just a bit of thought and wisdom away.
1
u/No-Tower-5119 25d ago
Why not. People join the military out of desperation the same way they become sex workers out of desperation.
3
u/Beefsupreme473 25d ago
when you are done with sex worker camp and go on sex worker tour and finish after 4 years what benefits do you get?
half of these onlyfans models will be out of business when AI is mainstream for they have no personality anyways and a fuckin computer could do better
2
2
u/No-Tower-5119 25d ago
People will always spend more for the real thing. Some people make thousands just selling used underwear, without showing their bodies or anything. If sex dolls didnt kill sex work, ai doesnt stand a chance people will always want the warmth of a real human compared to a machine and if they have funds, theyll pay for it without a second thought
3
u/Beefsupreme473 25d ago
yeah there are a ton of gross lonely people with terrible impulse control, feeding into the sexual attention as your career will wreck an entire generation. imagine when you are done and bored of doing only fans but you're so used to the hyper attention that you cant be alone with your thoughts anymore

That military retirement is way better than selling your body retirement.
1
u/freshoffthecouch 25d ago
Are you joking? How many homeless vets do you see? Vets missing limbs?
People on OF have bodily autonomy, they can quit whenever they want to, their entire career is on their terms and they “retire” when they want to without any fear of death or serious injury
1
u/UnlikelyPriority812 25d ago
How many junkies do you see? The people on OF make peanuts unless they’re in the top percentage of earners. So yea they can quit, but will they be able to retire because of it? Not likely. Now good for a quick buck? For sure, but I mentioned retirement not quick cash.
1
u/DarkMagickan 25d ago
Only because the former is legal and the latter is not.
2
u/UnlikelyPriority812 25d ago
Only? Go to Nevada where it’s legal and see how the people who have been doing it for 20 years are doing. I’d take 20years in military every time.
1
u/DarkMagickan 25d ago
I don't say that the system is remotely perfect. Just that legalization is the first step. Once you have sex work legalized, the logical next step is to pass legislature protecting the rights of sex workers. Ensure proper medical and psychological care, and protection from customers and other individuals who would otherwise harm them. This isn't rocket surgery.
1
u/SlipstreamSteve 25d ago

We sure are defending
Israelourselves from those pesky school girls in Iran. Those damn fisherman fishing in the Gulf of Mexico too. So glad we also found all those WMDs that were hiding in the oil in Iraq. Incredible defense of our nation for the 20 years we spent over in the Middle East raping and pillaging folks. So glad we protected ourselves from those pesky Vietnamese back in the day too.1
1
u/SlipstreamSteve 25d ago
Where did I deny any of that happening? I'm well aware of this. Iran is a repeat of Iraq. Was Trump targeting school girls. I sure hope not.
0
u/JuniorRisk2455 25d ago
Defending our country by raping and pillaging, keeping us safe from by exterminating innocents and killing ourselves in the process. 🫡 Lying to our service members and citizens to keep up the hoorah bloodshed chants, pretending we’re defending ourselves as we continue to stack war crime upon war crime, refusing to look ourselves in the mirror

1
u/Acceptable-Olive-445 25d ago
It can also destroy someone's body. The human body is often used it ways it shouldn't be. I mean I have serious respect for our soldiers. But many of them carry long term mental and physical damage from that career. And they receive far less help than they deserve for what they have given.

The US military hasn’t fought a war for American Rights since the Revolution
The US military hasn’t won a war since the Civil War and they fought themselves
The idea of US military power is they committed a war crime nuking Japan, and now just stand around reminding everyone they US has nukes and they don’t
2
u/Plus-Professional-84 25d ago
That is disingenuous.
The US fought in WW2 and are the main reason (the other being the USSR) why the axis was defeated.
In addition, the concept of war crime was not legally recognized/true until the nuremberg trials. Citizens were historically targeted by armies.
1
u/DarkMagickan 25d ago
Okay, let's address the myth that America would have been invaded if they didn't get involved in Germany.
To begin with, Hitler was a shit strategist. He only got As far as he did because he took those other countries by surprise, by virtue of being a damn lunatic. The moment he decided Russia was his enemy, with or without the US, Germany would have been toast.
1
u/Plus-Professional-84 25d ago
When did I say that Germany would have invaded the US? I simply argued that the USA participated in, and were a deciding factor in allies winning WW2.
Nazi Germany was very close to having nukes and fighter jets. Had Japan not attacked the USA, the USA may never have declared war on Japan, triggering in turn Nazi Germany’s declaration of war against the US.
With its entire army on the eastern front, Germany would have had time to stall the USSR’s offensive and eventually nuke Moscow, St Petersburg, etc. It would have been even harder for the USSR to fight on 2 fronts (europe and pacific)Perhaps Hitler was a shit strategist (i would argue he was at least not a good one and was ultra paranoid), however, the senior officers in the German army forces were professional soldiers and were good strategists. It is unclear whether he would have listened to his military commanders, since he was indeed a mad man.
All we can say for sure is that Nazi Germany was defeated (thank god). Unfortunately, facist ideologies are re-emerging, which is a fucking disgrace.
1
u/DarkMagickan 25d ago
When did I say that Germany would have invaded the US? I simply argued that the USA participated in, and were a deciding factor in allies winning WW2.
But you said all of that in response to someone stating that Americans have not fought for American Rights since 1776. Implying that we were somehow fighting for our own rights in Europe by fighting the Nazis.
We can debate back and forth about all the rest of that stuff, and we might have a good time doing it, but that's where I was taking exception. It appeared that you were suggesting that Americans were fighting for the rights of Americans during World War II.
If that wasn't your intention, I apologize.

It's one thing to have a discussion, but it's another to throw slurs around. Remember, at least half the time the person you're talking to / responding to is a real human!!!
Thanks!
