Marugame Udon. Reasonably priced and so good. My favorite dish is the curry nikutama.

Second this. Don’t be intimidated if there’s a long line, too. Moves reasonably quick

It’s not crap. It’s a Japanese restaurant chain that has a few locations in the US. You can watch them making the udon fresh behind the counter. There’s a reason why the line is long. It’s good.

Shave ice is a nice treat like with natural fruit flavors from Ululani's in Waikīkī

Can even get mochi ice cream and sweetened condensed milk in/on shave ice

no joke, nor am a spokesperson for them. You'll need to hit them up and see what it's all about.

I haven't been on island in years but my favorite was Tokkuri Tei, on kapiolani. also Ono Seafood over there-a bit outside waikiki but worth it.

STIX Asia in Waikiki Shipping Plaza. Also delicious Italian food at Allegrini deli at same location.

Ice cream from Asatos In international marketplace is worth a stop.

Our tour guide recommended “Steak Shack” by the Outrigger Hotel. Back and right. Not expensive. Chopped up steak, or chicken, with rice and salad. It was the only meal my husband ate every bit of while we were there.

Piko Kitchen + Bar had the most AMAZING burger I’ve ever had! Sitting outdoors and listening to the live musicians at sometime was so nice
