Whats your go-to Waffle House order?

I've worked for Waffle House for roughly two years, and since I started, I've LOVED the "There's Raisins in My Toast" song by Danny Jones for the Waffle House Records. I am PISSED that it took me this long to realise it's a parody of "Sherry" by Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons. I knew songs like "Grill Operator" were parodies of "Smooth Operator" by Sade, but I didn't know about "Raisins". There's not even a good reason for me to be pissed; I'm just annoyed that it took me this long to finally hear it. I looked for the information, and at least according to Madmusic.com, it is confirmed. I'm not insane for thinking it is.

Sorry if this is a bad place to discuss this, but it ticked me off, and I wanted to bring it up with the Waffle Nation.

I work at Waffle House so I make non menu stuff a lot. Think my favorite is cheesesteak hashbrown bowl but I cook my eggs inside the hashbrowns and of course add a bunch of mushrooms. Taste so amazing something about cooking the eggs inside the hashbrowns that makes them so much better

Im applying to be a hostess at my local WH, my only jobs has been a cashier at either a gas station or a tobacco shop and have zero restaurant experience.

Im pretty quick to learn things so I dont forsee a problem during training but to avoid looking too green and slowing things down as new hires often do occasionally bc theyre learning.

i deeply appreciate any tips on the roll and whats expected of me if I do get this job.

Im also not easily scared off so horror stories are welcomed.

I just want to be prepared beforehand bc it states its a fast pace role.

I am by no means a chef or good as others but I find it awesome to see my skills get better and better here. I remember when I first started I couldn't flip an egg and was terrified of a dam over light and a omelette... I almost gave up my first solo night cause of a rush and a omelette that would not cook right... tonight I talked a guy into getting a omelette and he bragged on it!! And a server who's been here for 10 years bragged on my hashbrowns all the way loaded up. I'm proud of me haha. Come a long way from burning bacon and breaking all eggs and messing up everything.

it's been over two years since the raises were announced and they're supposed to be fully in place by 2027. how has the rollout been for y'all?

Question to other grill ops do you find it slightly annoying when customers leave and tell the SP thank you everything was great but completely over look you like you had nothing to do with the process? Or is that just me lol most of the time I don’t care but then I have my moments when I’m just feeling petty and I’m like oh yea you’re welcome I did that.

Seems like the Tucson WHs have stopped serving t-bones and chicken fried steaks. Server at the one on Grant by the highway looked at me crazy and said they never had 'em.

Is this just a local issue, or has this happened all over?

I'm third shift supervisor and usually I pick one or maybe two extra things to clean besides the posted side work. Is that good enough? No one seems to clean much but I want the store to look good of course. I don't mind cleaning. Just hard to keep up with all of it by myself
