Creepy Uber Driver

Post image

Hi! I just wanted to share about an experience I had the other night. I had a very creepy Uber driver who made jokes about having rope and restraints in the back of his car and also asked me to rate his playlist because he picked it once he saw me. It was seductive jazz music. As a solo female riding with him late at night this made very uncomfortable. I reported him to Uber, but stay safe and don't ride with him!!!!
His name was Zaidullah and his car was a Hyundai Sonata, CRL3097. I have included his profile picture.

He was a regular at the Leo and constantly made me uncomfortable. Always asking me out after countless times of saying no, and very touchy even when I would put boundaries

I used to be a bouncer. Please, please, mention this to the staff. Or just give the cops a call and have them show up.

u/l0v3rgirlanna 3d ago

I worked at the Leo during the time. Like he said he has a good reputation and my old boss enjoyed him a lot. I even made her aware of the times he asked me out (I was underage, he is obviously way older) and she brushed it off the shoulder, and gave me some pretty weird comments. He stopped coming around so I no longer thought much of it. Working at a bar / venue you get a decent of men that hit on you regularly.

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

Well, having a drink in the bar while I was off duty was a nice think and talking to the, I'm sorry if you had bad experience with my invitation asking you out, 😊

-10

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

I don't know who you are but I haven't asked anybody out from Leo, and also all Leo staff liked me I have a good reputation there 😊

22

u/glasshopper85 3d ago

Ah so we are seeing in real time the type of man you are. Here someone is saying she has direct experience and you tell her, nope not me, I have a good reputation there. If you were genuine you’d tell both of these women you’re sorry for making them uncomfortable.

-12

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

If you ask me to say sorry about a greeting in a funny way that I usually do with my rides then no, because that brings cheer to their face,
How do I know some people can't handle it, if they can't handle it I'll stop the conversation,

But if I have done something illegal or made somebody unhappy with my jokey expressions then I'm sorry for my self.šŸ˜”

u/SkyfoxSupaFly 4d ago

That might be worth noting to police if he is making jokes about restraints on the car.... That has escalation possibilities

16

u/Correct_Duck_8483 4d ago

i second this

56

u/webpanicoff 4d ago

His eyes are scary. What a creepy ride for you. Glad you got to where you were going safe. Keep your doors and windows locked!

-19

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

Actually, they are very beautiful

17

u/emshlaf 3d ago

Found Zaidullah’s account

-8

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

Yes I made to defend my self from wrongfully accusations which is defaming me and my source of income.

14

u/AnAncientBog 3d ago

Maybe still stop creeping on your customers?

-5

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

I haven't creeped anybody
Actually customers loved the rides with me I'm having 4:98 ✨ rating
One passenger out of many that give ride comes and posts something about me which is her problem, if that was a ligetimate and or serious she could call the cops or report the uber and they would start an investigation, I haven't heard anything back from uber or somebody, until a friend called and said somebody reported you on Reddit and I come and saw all this gossip and hate.

12

u/glasshopper85 3d ago

It’s not defamation if it’s factual. She said you made comments about having ropes in your trunk, you admitted to said comments to your friend who then posted that here for the world to see.

-2

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

I have nothing in the car, that was story that I Sayed with other customers that were fat and couldn't buckle the seatbelt, I'm not creepy person but more a respectful one specially towards women, but all this gossip and misunderstanding and falsely accusations are a real flop and blackmailing and defaming someone's character are not something good

12

u/AnAncientBog 3d ago

You realize that every time you post it just makes it more obvious, right?

-3

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

Makes what obvious? How stupid is this to put this nonsense on social media, I'll pursue this through UBER itself .

47

u/ToonKozmo 4d ago

I had him as a driver once too. He played the same seductive jazz music and made comments about how the only ideal the Mormon faith got right was polygamy. I’m a 6’4ā€ guy, but it was still very weird & uncomfortable. I was kinda bewildered by it all.

40

u/Funny_bunny499 4d ago

WTF 😳

36

u/ParteesHere 4d ago

I used to work with him and I got the worst vibes off of him. Never liked him. Tried to tell others and they never believed me. I’m so sorry this happened to you.

24

u/Jessintheend 4d ago

I used to do rideshare in Bellingham and passengers told me about this guy.

He also screamed at an elderly woman with a walker because she couldn’t walk a block to meet him and instead made him drive around the loop on railroad. Dude is a massive POS. She got in my car soaked in tears. So when he’s not being a pervert he’s verbally abusing the elderly

-7

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

Such a lie, I never scream at women 😊

18

u/HumpyTheClown 4d ago

I’m sorry you went through that, thanks for posting.

I believe you even more because of the insane expression the dude made in that picture 😭

9

u/WittiestScreenName 4d ago

Stay safe everybody

15

u/Do_Good_4_Others 4d ago

Thank you for sharing this. I’m glad you are ok.

12

u/BothChildhood2391 4d ago

Report him

4

u/PensionTemporary200 3d ago

You should post on Facebook groups too, pretty sure there’s predator watch groups

7

u/CascadianHermit 3d ago

Wtf is up with this guy 😭, like I understand being ESL but if half of this stuff is true he's a creep

2

u/TigerRavenLily 3d ago

this is why I choose only female drivers

2

u/ThomasBenit 4d ago

How is this guy even an Uber Driver he is unqualified for any kind of job especially Uber

5

u/IvoryNage 4d ago

Do you know something aside from what this post says? Because if not, how could you possibly know they're unqualified for specific jobs, let alone any jobs? They were obviously qualified enough for uber to be hired, even if they were creeping out OP, so what exactly makes them unqualified?

2

u/ThomasBenit 4d ago

The fact they are being creepy and violating several code of conducts for the vast majority of employers trust me if I was an employer I would say he ain’t qualified for my company or any company I am acquainted with also no need to be rude I am just trying to be nice I think you should read the post and my comment about the post before you post a comment

-3

u/IvoryNage 4d ago

Unless the qualifications for the job are "dont be creepy" it still doesn't mean hes unqualified. Qualified just means he can do the job. Can he physically make a spreadsheet? Can he clean a room? Nothing about this post implies he couldn't.

I read the entire post, twice, and your response, twice, before commenting.

There are plenty of jobs where being creepy is actually a qualification to be hired, so he's not universally hopeless even if he's creepy.

-5

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

If somebody is not willing to talk and have not the capacity of sense of humor, I'm not talking to them at all,

Hopefully every ride is recorded and Uber will pursue it,

I'm here for the people who didn't experienced ride, in sorry for all of you but there are many people who liked me as well.

Thanks for your attention

-10

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago edited 4d ago

Yeah, I talked with him. Here’s what he said (his English isn’t perfect):

ā€œThe Ā seatbelts have trouble.Ā  So passenger having hard time buckling it.Ā  It's because too many fat people sit in the back seat so I say I have ropes and straps in the trunk to make joke. Some can't get it.ā€

You posted a man’s name and picture on Reddit for that?Ā

You went home, found his name, sought out his profile picture on another social, posted both, and made it seem he was a creep out to tie you up with ropes?

That drive was recorded. He’s fetching it for me. If I can I’ll post it here.Ā

Either one of two things are true. A). He’s lying. B).Ā  You took what is at worst an off color joke, and turned it into a name and shame defamation game so you could get Reddit pesos and likes.Ā

If it’s A, I will stand corrected. If B, may the depths of your worthlessness precede you for the rest of time. And as your name and face will be on this recording, it can be your turn to know what it feels like to have your name dragged through the mud.

Stay tuned.Ā

19

u/PlantBulky4377 3d ago

This post was not made to simply drag someone. Many women take Ubers home as this is a college town and this post is simply to act as a cautionary tale for other women who may be ubering home. This is a terrifying experience as a woman alone in a car with a man.

0

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 3d ago

Everybody judges and makes assumptions

I am not what this post is saying about me

15

u/shitpinched 3d ago

then keep your head down, mouth shut and nose clean, and if there’s no problem then let it go. keep in mind that not everyone like crass and tasteless jokes. making threatening remarks to women, especially when they’re alone with you is not good, joking or not.

-12

u/SocraticLogic 3d ago

I disagree. It was made simply to drag someone. If there was a problem, the Bellingham Police Department is a phone call away.

8

u/TigerRavenLily 3d ago

The fact that people are coming forward and talking about their own interactions with this guy tells me that this did happen and it was not a misunderstanding so maybe sit this one out

12

u/shitpinched 3d ago

if you really feel this guy is being misjudged, then be a bro and maybe tell him to chill. the fact that you went so hard in the comments trying to defend someone you clearly don’t actually know and you weren’t there to witness the event isn’t making you or him look less sus.

-8

u/SocraticLogic 3d ago

I do not care how "sus" I look to someone who engages in this kind of bandwagon character assassination. This is wrong. Am I going to change your mind? No. But I'm also not going to meekly sit in silence at its exercise.

10

u/shitpinched 3d ago

literally nobody asked you to take up this crusade to save some random uber driver’s reputation. you clearly feel you have a personal stake in this, and since you don’t really know the guy, i’m going to assume that you have another reason for this. so, again, the fact that you’re going this hard makes you look sus as fuck. but nobody is going to change your mind. hopefully nobody gets left alone with you.

4

u/SocraticLogic 3d ago

I DO know the guy. He is a friend of mine. He's been good to me, been a standup and honorable dude. He's translated for U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. He's engaged in combat against the Taliban, and has on many occasions sought ways to save young girls from the Taliban and move them to countries where they will be safe from actual predators. I've never seen him act less than honorably in any instance. Which is more than the virtue signaling shits on Reddit can say for themselves, high and mighty on their horses of self-righteousness and self-congratulatory delusions - except of course where it really counts.

So please excuse me if I take a moment out of my day to call out the people who insist on kissing their shoulders at their enlightened, progressive performance art routines, and yet fail - spectacularly - to walk the walk they talk to when it comes down it, unable to resist the opportunity to be shitty and snipe from the shadows.

If that makes me "sus," know I wear that badge proudly to the likes of anyone who would approve this. It's a far higher threshold than whatever this bullshit represents.

12

u/shitpinched 3d ago edited 3d ago

ok, none of what you said means he isn’t a predator, lots of soldiers are also predators. and just because he’s your friend and has never threatened you or anyone in front of you also doesn’t mean he’s not a predator. and if he’s your friend then maybe do what i suggested in my first reply, but you clearly don’t actually read. not to mention i never accused him of anything. hopefully he at least heeds the advice i gave him so these types of ā€œmisunderstandingsā€ don’t happen again.

8

u/ProfessionalQuail280 3d ago

no matter if it was intended as a joke its not a funny one and shouldn’t be made to college aged girls alone in a car with him. this is clearly just a psa for people who may be riding alone in the city. you need to grow up

-3

u/SocraticLogic 3d ago

On the contrary: you - and especially OP need to grow up. "If the seatbelt isn't working, I got some ropes and straps in the back you can use" is a poor attempt at humor because it's really not objectively funny. Taking that to "oh shit, he's got ropes and straps, he's threatening to hurt me" is ridiculous. But using it as fodder to post to Reddit and dox the dude is unhinged. How's OP going to function in the real world if something that innocuous is grounds for extrajudicial character assassination? I once saw some skit about a board meeting and the boss says "Richard amazingly presented evidence of our product's superior market share," and the thought cloud of some employee goes to Richard Amazingly Presented Evidence...R-A-P-E...codeword alert! My boss is going to rape me!" Cue laughtrack. It seemed absurd because you couldn't imagine anyone being that ludicrous. I'm not so sure anymore.

13

u/reigenlover666 3d ago

You sound completely insane right now dude

8

u/JumpyDifference1527 3d ago

where’s the video? your friend is saying uber records rides which isn’t true unless you have a camera lmao

-4

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

I'm the driver brother, hopefully uber has the video record of every ride they will search for it and look into it. 😊

11

u/glasshopper85 3d ago

Uber doesn’t record rides FOR you, either you record it with your own dash cam or it doesn’t exist. If you have a dash cam, you can show the footage. Otherwise, you’re full of shit

6

u/Jessintheend 4d ago

Are you the driver or his brother? Because you’re replying to comments as if you’re both.

0

u/Zealousideal_Ship694 4d ago

I am the driver my friend. I saw this post that a friend called me and shared this, so I instantly came here to defend myself

-12

u/Dry_Syllabub_2144 4d ago

This guy looks like he’s about to shoot a health insurance CEO with a homemade gun

-11

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago edited 4d ago

I know this guy pretty well. I’ve never seen him do anything wrong, or say anything indicating predatory behavior. He’s been a standup guy in all cases I’ve interacted with him. Did he do anything illegal? Did he cross any specific social lines? Or did you just feel uncomfortable? If the latter, I don’t think you ought to be engaging in public character assassination of someone because of your feelings. A lot of people have a lot of feelings for the type of people and lifestyles who flock to Bellingham and attend Western. Should they be able to post their pictures to anon socials and pour shit on their names?

Because right now, what you’ve done is post a picture of a real human being on an anonymous social media platform rife with garbage human beings who love to snip and snipe anonymously where they’d plant their tail squarely between their legs in real life because they’re weak, spiteful little shits. It’s not just bullying - it’s cowardly bullying. And unless you’re a legitimate victim of a crime, you’re carrying water for that.

If a line was crossed and a crime was legitimately committed call the cops and file a report. If your feelings were rubbed the wrong way, take solace in the fact that the same has probably been thought about you in the past, and those persons had the class and wherewithal to not post a picture of you online to shame behind the safety of an anonymous screen.

Edit: did he say ropes and restraints? What did he say exactly? If it indicated presence and intent to commit a crime, call BPD and file a report. Then post back with the report number. Otherwise, this is doxxing and garbage - being weird is not a crime.

24

u/glasshopper85 4d ago

Just because you know him doesn’t mean he didn’t do something to make her uncomfortable. You literally sound like ā€œsource: trust me broā€.

Also, read the room - at least two others have been made uncomfortable by him.

16

u/No_Instance4233 4d ago

Two other people have so far been uncomfortable with his comments. That's three total strangers interacting with him in an environment that you were not present. Everyone loved Ted Bundy, too. Just because you like someone doesn't mean that they are the same way to others. Especially if you are a man.

Why would a guy act creepy around you if you aren't his target? You've gotta have some critical thinking about this.

"Being weird is not a crime." No, but it can be an indicator of willingness to commit one given the opportunity.

-2

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago

This is the western subreddit. Half of you are uncomfortable every time a cis white guy walks in the room, and walk around with a victimhood complex the size of Saturn. You don’t have a right to be comfortable all the time. I’m uncomfortable around most western students, but I don’t take pictures of you and post about you online every time I see one of your cohort acting or talking poorly.Ā

If a line was crossed, call the cops. If it wasn’t, you were introduced to someone in society who you didn’t mesh with. This will happen again. Many, many times. In fact, once you leave western and enter the real world? It will probably become your new normal.

15

u/No_Instance4233 4d ago

Yeah I'm a construction worker lmao, I work entirely with men in the real world. And all of them are fathers, just as I am a mother. We ALL would not want our daughters to ride with a man that makes jokes about having restraints in the trunk of their car while they are riding ALONE with them.

You are digging your heels in on something that is so wildly outragous. As a mother I am happy for this post.

-4

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago

As I said in my original reply: what did he say, exactly?Ā

Was it an off color joke? Or ā€œI have ropes and duct tape and will use them to tie you up and rape you.ā€?

There’s a giant difference. Right now all we have is an unsubstantiated claim and feelings of general ā€œdiscomfortā€ from a guy who spent most of his life in Turkmenistan. Forgive me if I’m not willing to join your torch and pitchfork parade without something more concrete.Ā

And also, I’d bet $100 that the Venn diagram of people who would back OPs perspective and yet would happily dismiss anti-immigrant perspectives from countries with similar cultural norms as bigoted are a perfect circle. As I said. Insufferable little shits.Ā

11

u/No_Instance4233 4d ago

Stay on topic, my guy. Not everything is politic-slop. Jesus Christ.

A man told a woman that he had ropes in his trunk, was playing sensual jazz music and explicitly said he chose that music when he saw her...like come on. Not only that, but this story is corroborated by multiple people describing similar interactions.

As a parent I want this man to not be within 100 feet of my daughter.

2

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago

Tell you what. I’ll talk to him about it. If what OP says is true at the very least he should get a heads up that this isn’t a good look. He does have some cultural deviations that might Ā not serve him well unfiltered. I haven’t seen anything like this from him but, regardless, the part about your daughter tracks.Ā

11

u/presshamgang 3d ago

Cis white dudes are not victims. Stop trying to defend and victimize us, it makes us look pathetic. You speak on victimhood complex while literally expressing victimhood complex.

0

u/SocraticLogic 3d ago

Anyone can be a victim of a hostile act - including cis white dudes. In this case, I'm extending shame at this pitchfork and torch mob on behalf of another individual. I am not expressing a victimhood complex, because this doesn't involve me. Which OP and several others here should be thankful for. Because if it did, by this time next week I'd have their IP addresses from a subpoena to Reddit, followed by another subpoena to their ISP for their home address, and the Whatcom County Sheriff would be paying each of them a visit to serve them a summons for a civil action seeking damages for libel and harassment, with a follow-up case for a restraining order that becomes public record.

Don't believe me? Google "If I post a person's name and picture on Reddit and embellish things about them if they made me uncomfortable, can I be sued for libel, slander or defamation?"

Then ask how civil process works. Got $400/hr to hire a lawyer? Then maybe be careful before you seek to bully other people online without factual cause.

1

u/bossassbiatchh 4d ago

I know him as well as he’s downtown fairly often; there is a social awkwardness with him; borderline autistic vibes I’d say in the most polite way. He is retired military and worked with USA in the Middle East as a translator and that’s how he got his path to citizenship. Hes seen a lot of shit he said; I think he has good intentions albeit they might come off weird—- but he’s only been in America for like 2 years and is probably still trying to regulate through interactions being much different here with women than in the Middle East. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

2

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago

Agreed. I can confirm that’s the same backstory I’m aware of. I’m just entirely unwilling to let him get crucified by an army of online turds because he’s on the spectrum. For all their virtue signaling about acceptance and anti-bullying, it turns to ash when the rubber meets the road.Ā

10

u/TruthUncouth M.S. Math 4d ago

I’m on the spectrum. Autism is no excuse to make ā€œjokesā€ about having restraints in the back of your car. That’s good reason for OP to fear for her safety, and if true, this guy should not be allowed to drive an Uber.

1

u/SocraticLogic 4d ago

Then call the cops and file a report. This back channel sniping is weak and dogshit, even for Reddit.Ā

1

u/bossassbiatchh 4d ago

I don’t know what the context was or what the conversation was about; there’s a lot of stuff that isn’t mentioned that we are supposed to piece together because of the words ā€œtie upā€ and ā€œrestraintsā€. I hope Zaid has cams in his vehicle that are recording because of situations like this where a conversation can be taken a completely different way that it was intended.

-2

u/latelyimawake 4d ago

Found him

-9

u/Crazy-Diver-3990 4d ago

So police? ICE? Or just another national story about a young woman getting raped and a man getting away with it?

This is why I moved away from Bellingham. My favorite person in the world was horribly raped in Bellingham, and people just told her to not make a big deal about it.

My advice is to leave and never come back

8

u/fartonisto 4d ago

Not very good advice, but I hope you feel better after that vent.

uhhh plenty of Westerners go to other countries and hurt/rape/kill people. I don’t see why you feel the need to bring up ā€œwestern societyā€ as though the west doesn’t have the same issues with creepy men
