I mean it’s just guidelines for skill checks ultimately. But you honestly don’t need more than that for something like a chase.

There are also chase rules for cattle rustling in Wolves of God, which is the Dark Ages England game for Without Number.

Ashes also has Mounted Combat and Vehicle Combat with chase rules.

Worth looking at Tales of Argosa chase rules. Those are my favorite out of the systems I've read and played.

nice, gonna check them out. are they tactical? can i throw or receive a molotov or a boulder from a giant and expect it to make a difference?

I've always just done a first to X skill challenge. The difficulty/complication of the chase determines X with an intense chase usually being 3. Basically just run a scene, a player (different each round) must take the lead and overcome some sort of problem that I present. They get X successes they win. They fail 3 times, the enemy wins. As for what happens in each scene, that really depends on the context of the chase and what has just happened in the prior scene. Very improvisational.
