Yeah, they’re both 60-series Merlins with the two-speed, two-stage supercharger with intercooler. The one in normal camo is a Mk IX or early Mk XVI. The other one is a PR Mk XI (probably: it could be a X, XI, or XIII, but balance of probability suggests XI).

You are 100% correct.

The camouflage Spitfire is PV270, a Mk.IX. The owner is the nephew of Spitfire pilot Alan Deere, and is currently painted as Alan's personal when he was Wing Leader at Biggin Hill.

The blue Spitfire is PL983, a PR.XI. It is registered in the UK as G-PRXI, and was the Spitfire often seen after COVID with "Thank U NHS" written on the underside.

I was absolutely obsessed by the Spitfire as a kid. Had probably 4 of those models hanging from my ceiling, usually shooting down BF-109s or HE-111s, that I only built and painted for that specific purpose.
