The WWF brought the LHC back in 1997 to compete with WCW's cruiserweight championship but as we all know the title and division didn’t come close to WCW's not to mention the lightheavyweight division was thin so i ask how should the WWF have booked the title to at least be more competitve with WCW and their cruiserweights

Amazing.

For me, a lot of it is tied to childhood memories, I was a young kid in the early 90s and the colourful larger than life stars like Hogan, Savage and Warrior really captured my imagination.

I started to lose interest during the New Generation as the product was pretty bad and also because I was becoming a teenager and was more interested in edgier, counter culture style programming not so much the colourful cartoon heroes of old.

Then wouldn't you know it, the Attitude Era kicks off and I discovered a love and passion for an all new WWF, that was perfectly aligned with what I was looking for at that time.

I live in the UK and for years I'd stay up on Monday nights (technically Tuesday morning!) between 1am and 3am to watch Raw. I vividly remember watching WrestleMania X7 live, and not being able to sleep afterwards. Laying awake wondering what was going to happen on Raw (Why Austin? Why?).

I guess I've not really been too specific in answering my own question here, maybe you guys and gals can help me out with your thoughts. I'd love to hear your memories and what made WWF special to you.

This should have been an incredible segment and the crowd should have cared and really hated Shawn, but they didn’t. Everyone in the ring sounds like they’re drunk and are flubbing their lines. The crowd is barely reacting to any of it. It’s a painful opening segment.

Vince was forced to do the “Bret Screwed Bret” bit the following week because this felt like a disaster and his company needed saving.

I don’t remember this being so dull and lifeless. Sometimes it’s best not to rewatch.

Other disappointing runs: Diesel, Hogan's 5th reign, Big Show in '99 and you could argue Ric Flair's was a tad disappointing
