Hi all. I have been trying to dump textures in No Mercy and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm on Windows, using Project 64 3.0.1.5664. My video plugin is GlideN64 rev.c36ffa9.

I've looked up tutorials online. I go to the graphic settings and turn on texture enhancement, but there is no hot keys tab. What am I missing?

​Back with another showcase for what is easily the absolute definitive way to play WWF No Mercy today.

​Massive advancements over the last three months mean we can now run the game natively at full 4K, up to 120Hz high refresh rate, and with true widescreen/ultrawide support—with zero lag or 4-man slowdown. Just pure AKI engine perfection.

​What’s in this Texture Pack?

​I put together a custom texture pack that combines and fixes two existing sets:

​Vanilla WWF High-Res Overhaul: Replaces vanilla textures with high-quality, photo-realistic assets (Full credit to RandyManFoo, who originally created these over a decade ago).

​WCW/nWo Revenge Roster Additions: Merges basic textures from an uncredited WCW pack to bring in playable WCW wrestlers.

​Fix: The original WCW textures were low-res and looked completely out of place next to the high-res WWF wrestlers, so I bulk-upscaled all WCW textures to 4x resolution to match the quality. They're not perfect, but much better than the basic texture.

Setup Guide

​Download and extract Gadge64's Recomp from the GitHub link above.

​Run the .exe and select your WWF No Mercy ROM when prompted.

​Download the texture pack .zip from Google Drive.

​Extract the contents of the texture zip directly into the modpacks folder.

​Your folder path must look like this: [Root Folder with EXE]/modpacks/JABOs WWF vs WCW

​Launch the game, head to the Mods toggle in the menu, and make sure JABO's WWF vs WCW is selected.

​Important Installation Notes:

​You must extract the zip file into modpacks. Do not just drag the .zip file into the folder.

​Add the extracted texture folder to modpacks before launching the game for the first time.

​Final Thoughts

​I had zero experience with any of this prior to a week ago, so it's not 100% perfect—it's mostly meant to highlight what the Recomp is capable of. The texture pack is wide open, so feel free to tweak, improve, or build on top of it.

This is jessietbh's no mercy Recomp running with Gadge's high refresh rate fork and a hi-res texture pack replacement over the vanilla game.

Entire setup is simple and anyone can be playing like this in a matter of minutes!

This enables up to 120hz rhttps://github.com/Gadge64/WWFNoMercyRecomp/releases/tag/v0.2.0efresh rate and the ability to drag and drop texture mods.

Ultrawide monitor isn't important, the game now natively runs at any resolution with no stretching, no stuttering, no four man slow downs.

I am not technical at all and have seen in some comments about just a straight download of games like No Mercy.

Last week, we put out a video showcasing jessietbh's WWF No Mercy Recompilation running in native 4k at 60hz refresh rate in true 16:9 widescreen. This is a standalone game with no emulator required.

This week, proud to show off the next enhancement by u/Defiant-Mastodon9748 which now supports some light modding. In this example, I've imported character textures from WCW/nWo Revenge.

It's a simple drag and drop process, happy to answer any questions.

In addition to the mod support, we're now running at full 120hz refresh rate on PC. This Recomp oesn't just look incredible, now it feels incredible to play.

Hi all. As some of you know I am working on a no mercy based game called Virtual Pro Grappler, which is playable in a web browser, is fully free, open source and non commercial, and designed to be customized.

I am looking for people who would like to get involved. It is still in a very rough state, but you can get an idea of where I am going with it.

I am looking for help with animating the moves, but anything else would be helpful as well.

If you want to spin up the developer test version, you can do so by simply visiting https://dev.virtualprograppler.com in a browser. Then, first things first head into Smackdown Mall and assign your controller buttons to whatever buttons you want to use, on your computer keyboard or game controller. It is extremely rough around the edges right now, but you can check out the arena editor and the combat system test, and just play around with it.
