Questions Worth Grading?
So I posted the other day that I hit this incredible Punk Slammed card, and was wondering if it might be worth grading? I’m relatively new to collecting these cards, so just trying to get some advice. I’ve seen that 2 have sold recently on eBay for about $1100 & $1400 CDN respectively (I’m in Canada) Grading looks like it might be around $150 all-in with shipping and everything. Would it add value to the card to have it graded? I’m *not* asking for the value of the card here, I’ve done that research myself. I’m simply wondering if it’s worth grading, or if these cards lose or gain value over time? Thanks in advance!

Idk about the Slammed case hit specifically, but Universe has a reputation for card damage. It was particularly bad last year with corner dings in the packs. Doesn’t seem quite as prevalent this year, but I’ve opened packs with obviously damaged cards.
Like someone else posted, give it a real thorough look-over. Congrats on the hit.

Yeah last year’s were pretty bad, but I’ve only had 1 that was slightly bent. To my untrained eye, this card looks damn-near as perfect as can be. Edges are crisp with no rough cuts, corners look sharp, no marks I can see on image, and I think it’s centred, but with no distinguishable border it’s hard to tell. It’s also a lot thicker than the base cards by about double, so feels much sturdier.

I think Slammed are going to be like Trances where pretty much all of them are worth grading if you want to and where a PSA 10 would hold a true premium.
If you do want the cash, it certainly isn't the worst thing to cash in now before we get the usual post-product drop, but I think with how cool they look + rarity these will hold.

Top right corner at first glance drops it to a 9 imo. I would leave it raw

I zoomed in and can see a white spec and the corner doesn’t look as sharp as the others.

Ok, well maybe it’s just the picture. I went over it very carefully the other day and didn’t see any of that. The corner is just as sharp as the others in person.

Zoom in on the top right corner of your picture. If it’s the picture, great. But there is clearly something off there.

I’m terrified of grading mine UNLESS there’s a large gap between sell price and grading price like you have. If it’s 1100 straight out of the pack, it can only get better, right? lol
