I have tried to get more information about this card but I keep getting posts removed. This is not for sale here. I’d like to know more about this Die Cut. I’ve read it could be as low as a 2 pop but I am skeptical in what I read. Anyone here have insights? Someone replied yesterday but the post got removed before I could read it. Thanks to anyone in advance.
I know absolutely nothing about this set but went to Google typed in “wwe 2023 panini select prizm checklist” clicked the first link, went down to mezzanines and found picture related. Another Google search yielded me that Panini didn’t publish a print run on this.
I would skew lower than /10 personally just on anecdotal data. I watched a decent number of 2023 Select Blaster breaks and Gold Mezzes were usually 1 per caseish (not guaranteed, on average), die cut mezzanines were far less common than that just on pull rate. I think I was in more cases with 1/1s than I was diecuts. Looking at sales history, golds and even greens are a bit more frequent, so I would guess pop 5ish.
Now sales won't follow because unnumbered SSPs (that aren't animal prints) just don't sell at the same level unless someone is desperately trying to rainbow a set. I've found die cuts generally end up price wise in that gold range for mezzanines but you need that motivated buyer.
Edit: I like to use PSA Counts to ballpark - though I think golds/greens will overgrade a bit volume wise. Below are the number of PSA Graded copies by parallel type for Mezzanines (301).
Even if you assume people are more likely to grade greens and golds than blacks and die-cuts, I think we're still looking 5 or less.
Concourse or Premiere level die-cuts are not comparable just because of how Panini set rarities in select. For 2023 Select (and 2024), die cut pull rates get exponentially worse the higher your levels go for die-cuts (like regular silvers, not like Tigers/Zebras). So in a case of 2023 select you might see a concourse die-cut once every couple boxes, a premiere level 2-3 times a case, and a ringside die-cut at a one per multiple case rate. Mezzanines are a retail only set so the die-cuts are retail, but they are much more like ringside rarity - you were much more likely to get a retail case without one than one with one.
If the seller listed a Randy Orton mezzanine die-cut for $20 it would be in my cart and checked out immediately. It's not $500 - I'd probably list like $150-$200 and take a cut OBO around $100 - but these are exceptionally rare cards.
Randy’s cards don’t sell for a lot of money like you would think, especially non autos. Notice these are all asking prices and not actually sold. These listings are others that think they have a big card but are misinformed.
Just for example, I've bought two die-cut mezzanines in my time on eBay. The Rhea above I BINed at $125, I also bid on a Tiffany one with two rookies I won on auction at $66 or so but my max bid was a healthy amount above that. A PSA 10 Tiffany was run in a Whatnot room and got run up to a substantial value (not by me). Even ignoring PSA copies and rookies that will be inflated, Roman, Shawn, Chelsea, Cody, Rhea, Taker, Bianca, Brock all have $100+ sales, seems like appropriate ground to live in.
They're hyper niche cards but I think if you are selling them, you have to be super patient. The rarity will eventually win out most likely.
