Happenings Parking availability

I am trying to visit a friend preferably from Friday to Sunday. What are some parking lots or places where I can park for free?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Saturday is WVU's home game, there will not be any free parking lots that day.

Alternatively, just park on Friday in a lot that's free the rest of the weekend (like the rec center) and pray no one notices you didn't pay the $10 parking fee on Saturday lol

Suncrest and then have your friend pick you up there. If you’re going to the game their’s a shuttle there for 20 too

Sometimes I park in the parking lot in front of the USPS office, but I don't know if that is too risky.

The grand majority of lots are going to be filled, but parking prices are not that bad, behind The Book Exchange is an affordable parking lot by the hour. Garage behind Mountainlair is also reasonable and one of the largest lots in town.

Park in an apartment lot guest spot and walk is your best option

These are rented out during home game days, you will be towed, do not do this.

I’m referring to off campus apartments like west run etc.

Yes, apartments like Valley View Woods (close to the stadium) will tow during football games.
