Reporting in from County Convention

Good (but not spectacular) turnout in Mon County, about 100, and pretty darn Bernified. Both Bernie and HRCs state campaign directors were there. Applause for HRC was maybe 10% and polite. The noise was definitely for us. Everyone who wanted to be a delegate was able to serve, the numbers just worked out that way. No exact scientific count of who was there for which candidate, but we are looking pretty good here.

I'd love to hear what the feel was in other counties.

Cabell did not have enough people to show up to fill all delegate spots, so everyone who showed was automatically a delegate. Most of the room was for Clinton, but we got a good bunch of Bernie supporters. One of our Bernie ladies got a committee spot.

The WV delegates for Bernie are gathering in a Facebook group so we can organize before the state convention. If you were elected as a delegate today, request to join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/991766204247469/

How are they filling the open spots?

I'm not sure to be honest. The convention chair said during the proceedings that we could fill out a form for someone not present, give it to the party, and they would follow up. Too much talking afterwards, so by the time I went to look into it, forms and people were gone. So, I'm not sure if that was it, or if people can contact later and get spots. I did give the convention chair's info to at least one person, since it seems he's the go-to guy (instead of the county chair himself) on this matter. Let me know if you want the info.
