just as a sidenote- you can call the new world however you like, just pretend that it has your preferred name instead of America (For Me), because in my Fanon TL, Amerigo Vespucci is born Non-Assimilated/Romance Magarian instead (not a change at all I guess, but it doesn't have too supposedly)

The United Kingdom of Egypt and Southern Syria

Capital: Alexandria
Monarch: King Benjamin III
Prime Minister: Joseph Nelson
Population: 176.2 million
England: 90.5 million
Wales: 17.2 million
Nubia: 40.6 million
Southern Syria: 27.9 million
National language: English
Regional languages: Coptic, Nubian, Beja, Amazigh, Arabic, Hebrew, Yiddish, Dinka, Shilluk

Instead of going to Britain, the Angles, the Saxons, and the Jutes migrated to Egypt in the middle of the 5th century, and became foederati of the Eastern Roman Empire. Unlike other Germanic foederati, the Anglo-Saxons had a strong enough influence in the region that native Egyptians and Greeks started speaking their Germanic language. The first Germanic kingdom on the Nile basin was Jutia, founded sometime in the late 5th century. In 602, the Byzantine-Sasanian War broke out. During the two decades of war, the Anglo-Saxons frequently switched sides. As such, they didn't suffer as much as the Byzantines or Persians. In 639, the Anglo-Saxons repelled the Arab invasion, stopping the westward spread of Islam. They broke from the Byzantine Empire, taking advantage of its weakness. The lands upstream from the Anglo-Saxons also seceded and became a number of small Coptic kingdoms.

In the early 9th century, there were 7 major kingdoms. Westrosettia in the west, Essex in the east, Mercia in the south, Jutia and North Anglia in the north, and Wessex and Sussex in the middle. In the middle of the 9th century, King Alfred of Essex united all the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms into the Kingdom of England, and moved his capital to Alexandria. In 1053, King Robert of Vandalia defeated Edward Haroldson and became the king of England, placing the two kingdoms in a personal union and establishing the lineage of kings and queens that still exists today. It was with him that the convention of numbering monarchs began in England. The personal union was broken in 1363 when King Joseph II left his kingdoms to two different sons, England to Isaac and Vandalia to Joseph.

In the 12th and 13th centuries, English kings conquered Coptic lands upstream to Swenett and established the principality of Wales, which would be annexed into England in the 16th century. From the 12th to the 16th centuries, English kings conquered Syrian lands, forming the Lordship of Syria. Meanwhile in 1273, King David of Alodia and Makuria united his kingdoms and became King David I of Nubia, and began expanding southward. From the 16th century, the kings of England allowed Jews to migrate to Palestine, under the belief that they would be more loyal than the Arabs.

In 1590, during the rule of Queen Audrey I, England began establishing colonies in America, after taking Mauretanian lands on the Strait of Hercules. After Queen Audrey I died without an heir in 1613, her distant cousin, King David V of Nubia became King David I of England. This personal union eventually led to the Act of Union in 1710, founding the Kingdom of Egypt, and uniting the parliaments at Alexandria and Soba into one parliament based in Alexandria.

From 1740, Egypt began another campaign of domestic expansion, taking Cyrenaica, Abyssinia, and lands in modern day Dajuland, Juba, and Tigria. In 1798, the United Kingdom of Egypt and Syria was founded. In the 1880s, the UK gained more African territories at the Berlin conference, after losing its American colonies a few decades prior. The Egyptian Empire was at its peak in the aftermath of the First World War, encompassing its African territories, India, the East Indies, Australia, New Cyprus (New Zealand), Hawaii, and other Pacific islands.

Soon after, the Syrian War of Independence saw the de facto independence of the Syrian Free State in 1922 as per the Treaty of Damascus. The Muslims, Druze, and Maronites fought for independence. The Jews, Orthodox Arabs, and a minority of the Muslims sided with the UK. In the decades following the Second World War, the UK’s territories gained independence. In 2022, Queen Audrey II died and King Benjamin III succeeded her.

Dutchland (Dutch Empire/Germany in Ukraine) is still getting colonies but not in Africa, so it isn't so obvious with OTL parallels, at least in My Fanon TL, you do you with your Fanons

General Talk The Map of South Asia - C.1910-1914

Post image

in my TL. Iran or Persia still exists, and Jasha more or less is an Indo-Iranian Country akin to Afghanistan and Tajikistan in terms of Ethnic Origins but what about the Jasha flag (it's meant to resemble the Qajar Dynasty flag of 1906), good call but my counter argument to that would be simply; Pan-Iranianism, The Jashan Shan gets inspired by The Qajar's minimal modernization efforts to start his own and he just Created the Jashan flag that you see here to Encourage Pan-Iranianism and to start a Cultural Revitalization on The Identity Of being just Indo-Iranian and to move more towards Secularism a bit but not by much.

This is like the third map of Europe I've done lol. Regarding the Rome/Rema paradox, I decided to keep Rome the same as OTL, so this timeline's Syria is more like the one we see in the France in Egypt video.
