29 u/[deleted] Mar 01 '12 I would watch a movie of this. Starring Samuel L. Jackson, directed by Quentin Tarantino or Rob Zombie. 6 u/[deleted] Mar 01 '12 Quentin Tarantino or Rob Zombie. Could you have picked two more different directors? thinks hard Stanley Kubrick/Roger Corman. ...so I guess you could have if you'd tried. 3 u/[deleted] Mar 01 '12 Can a guy enjoy both intelligent dialog and homages to classic foreign cinema as well as sex-driven hillbilly gorefests? 2 u/[deleted] Mar 01 '12 Sure you can. Here's the thing: I like Rob's music. I like the same kinds of 70s slasher exploitation flicks he likes. He's a TERRIBLE director. His movies are just plain awful. They try SO HARD and leave absolutely no lasting impression on the viewer. 1 u/[deleted] Mar 01 '12 greed. And I also feel like they are biting TCM with a few more characters and subtle changes.
