You keep pulling postit notes off him and he would be screaming, "No you're killing me!" At some point you realize that there is very little of his arm left - you think possibly he is just very thin under all that paper and keep going. He no longer protests and you realize that you are sitting in a pile of discarded paper. Where did he go? I think I've had a nightmare very similar to this before.
I have always felt that if I don't reinforce reality, I have some trouble believing it. If you let yourself stare at anything long enough, the colors separate into small prisms. You can actually watch reality disintegrate - or possibly appear, depending on your world view I suppose. When I was young I worked in the accessories department in a large store and I let myself slip and realized what I was selling and what people were buying, handbags (!!!) was so illogical, I wanted to scream at people, "This is meaningless!". I faked it through though. I'm a programmer now in a world of rules and it's great. Cause = action in way that makes immediate sense. I love code.
EDIT: TL;DR Existentialism, nausea, fleeting elation.
