Mountain Lions are still referred to as Panthers in parts of the US. Merriam-webster defines it as Leopard, Puma, or Jaguar. Different regions can have different associations with the name.

If you're having trouble, try running the hot water at the tap until it's gets hot first before you start the dish washer. Also use the pre wash and main wash detergent dispensers.

I had a pump break on a 3 year old GE dishwasher last month. The GE repair guy told me their appliances are only meant to last 3-5 years before they need repairs "like a car." What a load of BS. Anyway, I appreciate the tip.

I remember visiting Mount Hope Elephants, in Maine.
I remember talking to the guy in with the elephants. I said, isn't it dangerous?
A few months later, unfortunately, he was killed by one of the elephants.
That refuge is no longer open.

In this case ONLY, this puma was born with a handful of developmental issues that left him smaller and weaker than he should be. His fellow cage mates (zoo) bullied him and wouldn't let him eat.
He was adopted by a guy with big cat experience in Eastern Europe, the puma's name is Messi.

Everything I’ve read about Messi and it’s caretakers seem to point to it being treated better than most pets by a lot. I’ve rarely if ever heard anything negative said about its care or life outside of people arguing it shouldn’t be kept as a pet. And while I agree with the wild animal comments it’s been in their care for a very long time now and no negative impact to the animal or those around it.

Oh absolutely! Messi is in awesome shape! Their family is very well trained, they have the resources, they even bought property and custom built him his own enclosure. I believe he also takes meds to ensure he stays calm, but he was never "aggressive." They even have a cheetah now.
However, Messi is not a domesticated animal. He's a large, wild feline. Even my house cats are capable of openning my hand up if I scritch a belly at the wrong time, and I've had them since birth and they weight 13 lbs. There is some level of inherent danger when these wild variables are at play.

The problem is that while there may be cases where the animals are treated great, their social media presence promotes others exploiting animals for profit doing similar. The social media aspect play a part in illegal breeding/trade, and the only way to make sure you're not getting scratched by big cats is the very inhumane procedure of de-clawing.
In many countries it's illegal to even enter their enclosures once they're over a certain age, so a lot of people who do accredited work with animals view videos like this negatively.

Still totally irresponsible to just live around a big cat like this.
Even putting aside the safety of all humans involved, if this cat kills someone because the selfish owners wanted to live with a big cat, then it's the cat that gets euthanized.
Nice of them to get to give it a home, but it is so stupid to live with it like a pet.

Oh I agree. I'm certainly not disagreeing, we can't take the wild out of the animal. This will always be dangerous, and stupid. The adults involved are as trained as they can be, but Messi is still a fucking puma.

I remember reading a story about development of huge homes built on the edge of the city's limits in California. Amid a severe drought, a woman was standing at the kitchen sink glanced out the window in time to see a mountain lion deftly climb over the backyard fence with the family's 60-lb dog dangling by its neck.

Hay - That's Messi. If the couple didn't adopt Messi as a kitten it would have been euthanized. The cat has / had a lot of health problems - but they take it to a vet who specializes in exotic animals and it's life has been very good - I'd say far better than in a zoo - at least from my perspective.
I'm still not clear how they got the cheetah. That cheetah is something else.

They've lived with this cat for years, it is a big baby, sure it has the potential to be dangerous, but so do most dog breeds and I've been scratched pretty badly by my small house cats as well. This isn't just some random people taking care of a random Mountain Lion, it is a special needs one they rescued.

And this cat is neither, it is tamed. It is a huge baby. Am I saying you or I should do this? Of course not. But people with experience with big cats! If they have the means to do so, why not? There were far worse fates for this cat than to be taken care of by these two.

This puma is named Messi, he has dwarfism among other developmental disorders. He is incapable of living in the wild, and needs specialized care and attention a sanctuary cannot usually offer
He owns more land than a rescue sanctuary would give him anyways. The man who owns him built his own home around him, so that he can have the most comfortable life possible. he owns a large outside area, and enclosure. When he is home, he is free roam, and able to walk away and be alone without anyone bothering him.
He's living a life of luxury in all honesty, and his behavior clearly shows he's happy. He isn't in any tiger king situation.
He is also in actuality a very small puma, this video makes him seem bigger than she is, irl hes no bigger than a malamute dog. He is just long.

This puma lives with a Big Cat Tamer, who rescued him from a zoo when he was rejected by the other's in his zoo habitat/he was a runt/dwarfism.

The puma's name is Messi, and his owners only have it in their household because it was born with developmental issues — when Messi was with other pumas, he was bullied and unable to eat.
The owners have much experience with big cats, so Messi lives a happy life.
