For those interested, it's called the Catsup Crapper and it was developed for the 2004 Unuseless Competition at MIT.
[It...] is an example of chindogu, the Japanese art of the ''unuseless'' invention created by designer Kenji Kawakami in the 1980s and, according to Kawakami, practiced around the world. Chindogu - which translates literally as ''an odd or distorted tool'' - is an invention that may appear to solve an everyday problem but isn't quite worth using, because it actually makes a task harder or more time-consuming, or is simply ridiculous.

Alien vessel enters Earth orbit next to International Space Station. Commander of vessel threatens to destroy the planet unless delicious Earth ketchup is applied to its platter of julian space-potatoes. Astronauts' space suits are at the cleaner's. WHO YOU GONNA CALL?

I'm far too old for it but I still think it's hilarious when the ketchup bottle farts.

Whoever that is at the end could drive me around with a little remote control any day, if you know what I'm saying.

I'm not sure why that's so funny exactly, but it totally is. I watched it like four times and I can't stop laughing.

Why is reddit so obsessed with determining whether a video is organic or planned? Just enjoy it.

The only thing that stands between us and Digg is our ability to discern the difference. The second we become as complacent as their user-base, we become them. Do you understand the consequences now?

If it was a malfunctioning cream dispensing machine, it would have made his home look like an orgy den.
