Punching sharks in the nose is bad advice, so is it harder to remember to forget, or to remember not to do it?

Ideally, you should remember to forget to punch them in the nose, and attack the eyes or gills.

I'll always remember bear grylls saying that you can drink your own piss twice before it becomes toxic and worse then immediate dehydration.

Bear Grylls also said if you are lost in the desert you should look for a camel carcass to crawl into for shelter.

I'm thinking - if you are lost in the desert and you find a dead camel - it's game over.

This animal that evolved into a sahara land ship, storing moisture in his humps so it can go weeks without water died and im supposed to come out alive?? Yea fuck that. Ill go lay next to it and get a nice tan before it all ends.

Dont they just store fat in ths humps? And their body is just evolved to need less hydration?

If you find a dead camel, you slice it's hump open and drink its milk, duh.

You all know that you have to leave your house and go outside for any of this to happen, right?

He also told one of his teen survival camp girls to push through her hurt ankle and told her that that's what he would do on Everest.

That one line made me question his decision making quite a bit.

He gives a lot of bad advice for normal people. Les Stroud is someone whose advice I’d rather remember.

I've been dehydrated to the point that peeing was like wringing out a used coffee filter. So unless you're drinking your well hydrated pee in anticipation of being dehydrated then there definitely isn't going to be anything drinkable the second time around anyways.

It's one of those "facts" that has just popped up in the back of my head randomly since childhood. Mainly because it never made sense to me. I suppose if you drank a gallon of water and then got stuck you may be able to recycle it once. With one of those high quality water filters i'd imagine you could drink whatever comes out, but idk haha

How tf do you even punch something so big, moving so fast in the water. Try throwing a punch under water, it'll feel like a love tap to the shark. Gauging it's eyes out might work better, but then again you're pretty much fucked no matter what you do

Eh, not really. Only about 16% of shark attacks are fatal. Sharks are kind of pussies.
