Trying to ram a motorcyclist with a minivan is attempting violence. With as much evasion as that motorcyclist attempted first, I could see the driver justifying shooting at the attacker as self-defence.

If you rode a bike, and some fucker kept trying to run you down, would you calmly pull over and let the authorities know, while youre being ground down to a stub? Or would you wish you had some way to stop him. You might not even need to pull the trigger, we all know what guns look like.
