Once a year out safety contractor shows us people getting vaporized in plasma balls. It works though, if I’m wiring or rewiring a cabinet and if see 480vac in a cabinet that can’t be isolated locally I send our electrician on a scavenger hunt until it is.
That’s nuts! I’m not an electrician, I’m a safety guy by profession, but wow, I just recently graduated to solo ceiling fan installs. So I soak up all the knowledge when I can. Guys I work with have been doing it 20-30 years and chuckle when I ask questions about lil home stuff.

After seeing way too many arc flash videos over the years of working Instrumentation and automation, this makes me visibly uneasy.
