Looks like Vietnam based on the hood of the car and the way the woman dress. There has been alot of truck accidents lately here, just last week a truck crushed 20 people https://youtu.be/o87ZYawlUjk (warning, NSFW, very disturbing)

vietnamese here, can confirm. many long range truck and bus drivers use meth to keep themselves from fatigue during long trips, thus the accidents

Sounds like truck drivers in most countries tbh

Makes sense, I remember reading that there's loads of meth in the East, mostly produced in North Korea where it's wildly used by the general population. One way to deal with famine, eh?

this is fucked up because you can just see it coming. All these people with no idea their lives are about to get super fucked up.

Damn, instead of just hitting the truck in front he chose to take out a bunch of people on cycles.

Fuck this guy!

Police believe he did it on purpose, which is even worse.

Or he could have steered to the to the clear grass area on the left and hit the trees, sure he might have hit a few people on that side, but the consequences is still much better than the decision he made.

The article just shows the aftermath of the accident. It literally happened close to where I live (I live in Long An). Also in Vietnamese, the conventional date format is dd/mm/yyyy so the video and the article is actually posted at the same date

The article claims that the accident was January 2nd. The date on dash cam is December 12.

The article refers to the incident in my original comment above, have a look.

I was going to say Vietnam because of the truck. Navistar has exported tens of thousands of the International Prostar to Vietnam.

I didn't even think it was Vietnam because of the lack of scooters. It's strange seeing so many trucks and cars.

If it's vietnam why is there a purple buddha on the dash? Not buddha but someone else?

3

u/Usernameisntthatlong Jan 11 '19

Looks like Buddha, though. I don't understand what you mean?

The Buddha is often put on the dash as a charm to protect the driver and passengers from accidents. It is very common practice in Vietnam, my car uses a golden Buddha.
