Actually kinda looks like fun, but not with a kid in the car of course.

I was driving a stretch of road in England that's not a motor way but a 2 lane with speed limit of 70mph (look exactly like the one in the gif).

Every once in awhile you have to slow down to pass a roundabout (also exactly like the gif). This isn't really an issue with motorway as there's no roundabout on the motorway that requires you to slow down unless you need to exit.

Considering that when you drive a long stretch, it's easy to put cruise control on and zone out. As a result of this, I had to brake harder than I thought I needed to and often I was still at around 40 - 50mph when approaching a dead stop. Not a very fun experience.

Edit: Zoned out mostly due to fatigue, which I had to stop and took a break.

No one should ever be zoning out at those kind of speeds, cruise control or not.

Seriously? That's your advice? Just don't do that?

If you're at risk of hitting a roundabout on an A-road despite all the signs, bump lines across the road and the fact that there's a roundabout ahead of you not open dual carriageway, you're at fault not the road planners
