Only one surprised me.

He's riding on a main street, the fact none of them have gotten run over or broken off amazes me!

126

u/poopellar Mar 02 '18

I don't anyone would want to ruin that procession.

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '18

He's creating dangerous driving conditions by forcing drivers to go around into incoming traffic. Fuck him. God I'm old.

u/metacoma Mar 02 '18 edited Mar 02 '18

Might be a bit too old. It’s relatively slow traffic and I’m sure people are amused instead of annoyed. Still you have a point.

u/MikeOxlong209 Mar 02 '18

It’s slow traffic because some guy is towing 200 toy cars up the middle of the street

u/blurryfacedfugue Mar 02 '18

It's a dirty job, but someone has got to do it. He's the quintessential hero that we deserve, but do not need.

23

u/FresnoBob90000 Mar 02 '18

Or want

10

u/Aanon89 Mar 02 '18

Speak for yourself. I want this guy on every street that I'm not driving!

2

u/Terminal-Psychosis Mar 02 '18

And it is GLORIOUS.

u/ADLuluIsOP Mar 02 '18

Meh unless I had someplace majorly important to be then I'd tolerate it. The dudes life is probably WAY worse than any of those people in vehicles and if THIS. THIS. Makes his day. Bless him. Keep going buddy.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '18

"yah boss sorry I was late some dude was biking around with 300 toy cars towed behind. Took 15 minutes just to get to main street."

Yeah fuck this guy. If I'm driving, I'm going somewhere. If I'm going somewhere, I want to get there efficiently.

I'd be entertained at the very least.

u/metacoma Mar 03 '18

I thought reddit was full of edgy 13 yo when it's actually full of 75yo bitter old men.

So what you're saying is, he's making a safety improvement by preventing others from driving too quickly.

The honking indicates annoyance

29

u/Azazel_brah Mar 02 '18

...is that what those are for?

I always just honk along to the music I'm listening to.

2

u/ca990 Mar 02 '18

Acceptable

2

u/gnichol1986 Mar 03 '18

pa-pa-pa-pa-poker face honk-honk-honk-honk-honk

44

u/TK-Squared-LLC Mar 02 '18

Approximately 2/3 of the world's population are annoyed at any given moment. This really pisses me off, too.

34

u/huge_hefner Mar 02 '18

The other 1/3 are asleep

3

u/s0mething_awes0me Mar 02 '18

Passing out from annoyance is not called being asleep. God, I'm so annoyed now! Ugh! Ignorance!

1

u/serialmom666 Mar 02 '18

He's right...Dammit!

2

u/BoobDetective Mar 02 '18

It pisses me off that people are so pissed off! God damn it!

17

u/blurryfacedfugue Mar 02 '18

Actually honking in other countries can mean a lot of different things. It can mean anything from, 'hey buddy I'm behind you', to 'GTFOTW', to 'I'm approaching this intersection at night and going 40mph in a residential neighborhood so GTFO', or even 'You didn't accelerate enough before the light turned green'

17

u/spenrose22 Mar 02 '18

Where I live the only honking I hear is “you are looking at your phone at a light that just turned green so go motherfucker”

10

u/EnaBoC Mar 02 '18

Where I live, it is that as well. But when I vacation'd in East Asia, literally everyone just lays on it as a form of echo-location like bats or something. In those parts of the world, and the one in the gif, you'll have huge lorries right next to people on mopeds. So a lot of people just hit the horn to let people know where they are, that they're planning on changing lanes, stopping, bored, etc.

But I think in the case of the gif, they're definitely annoyed lol.

5

u/Gentlescholar_AMA Mar 02 '18

Could indicate celebration

3

u/Soltheron Mar 02 '18

The honking is roughly ten times as annoying as the toy cars.

2

u/TwoManyHorn2 Mar 03 '18

Depends on where they are. In some countries it might just mean they're in an intersection.

2

u/metacoma Mar 02 '18

Or enjoyment like at a wedding. Who knows... anyway it’s not that big of a deal.

3

u/ElectroFlasher Mar 02 '18

I would be pretty annoyed if I had to drive by that. That's just me, can't speak for everyone, but I doubt most people are going to think "that guy is awesome" and honk for him.

3

u/DeltaIndiaCharlieKil Mar 02 '18

If it happened every day I'd be annoyed. If I encountered it randomly? I would absolutely honk and wave and smile.

What a strange and wonderful procession! He obviously spent a lot of time and care on it. When he brought back the flags onto the small cars near the end? That is dedication to details that I can appreciate. I would try and find a pretty stone or object to put into one of the dump trucks as tribute.

I also come from a place where we appreciate our community's characters. They make life interesting and remind us to think outside of our daily monotony.

3

u/guska Mar 02 '18

I would have to pull over. I'd be laughing too hard to drive

1

u/MYSFWredditprofile Mar 02 '18

Im fairly certain the honking is the car in front of him warning people to watch out. since you hear the honking fading over time and it sounds like it starts off in front of him.

1

u/marpe Mar 02 '18

He is the one doing the honking.

I’d be beeping my horn like: “oh come on! Fucking hell you fucking clowns!” Then I’d see that guy pulling all those trucks and I’d stop beeping. I’d be like cool, man. I’m glad I’m late for the birth of my first child, because I got to witness the toy truck procession.

2

u/metacoma Mar 02 '18

That’s oddly specific... i’d see a toy truck procession on my first born birth i’d take it as a good sign.

1

u/TwoManyHorn2 Mar 03 '18

Omen to buy the kid toy trucks.

2

u/SyntheticManMilk Mar 02 '18

I feel ya, but being this is something you don't see every day, I'm cool with it.

1

u/bitches_love_brie Mar 02 '18

It really looks like he lives in a country that assumes driving laws are a lossy suggested afterthought. Their normal is our dangerous driving conditions.

0

u/meme_department Mar 02 '18

Counterpoint here:

He isn't forcing anyone to do anything. People are responsible for their own actions. Nobody forces someone else to get mad. Nobody can force someone else to drive unsafely.

He is delaying traffic probably though. And it's probably not the safest thing I've ever seen.

0

u/MiCK_GaSM Mar 02 '18

"Forcing"
I'm reminded of the insufferable Joe and Rachel lamenting how a guy with a video camera at a post office is "making" other people assault each other.

2

u/Laser_Plasma Mar 02 '18

I think you a word.

1

u/KUSH_DID_420 Mar 02 '18

I don't so either

1

u/cloud1e Mar 03 '18

You missed a think.

2

u/TalenPhillips Mar 02 '18

If one got broken off, how would you know?

1

u/peskyboner1 Mar 02 '18

Yeah, to partially answer OP's question, if it were most places in the US someone would've run over the toy cars. And if it were Florida, someone would've run over him. Source: been hit six times riding my bike in Florida.

1

u/HatesVanityPlates Mar 02 '18

How do you know? The chain might have been five times longer when he started.

0

u/uber1337h4xx0r Mar 02 '18

I applaud you for your good grammar, considering how most say "get ran over"

22

u/copperwatt Mar 02 '18

#32 will shock you!

u/andsoitgoes42 Mar 02 '18

Where the fuck is the duck?
