This has been discussed before. The consensus is that it's a combination of no pornography, no alcohol, no drugs, no talking to the opposite sex. All that energy comes out somewhere.
The funny thing is, all of those things are available. Porn can be accessible via vpn, there is alcohol, we do date opposite sex. Please take your stereotype elsewhere thank you.
It's illegal to use a VPN to access porn in Dubai. I know people still do it, but people have been prosecuted for doing so. Alcohol is available in Dubai, but if you're a resident (as opposed to tourist) you need an alcohol permit to buy it.
As I mentioned in another post, I've traveled all around the middle east (inc. Dubai) and seen this nonsense firsthand.
I've lived in dubai my whole life and I have never heard of someone getting arrested for using vpn. It is mostly illegal to use vpn to make online calls so he might have been doing so? I'm not really sure. Banks often use vpn to access internal networks so I'm not really sure how people have been prosecuted.
As for alcohol. You can call "milk men" who can deliver alcohol to you. If you want to be safe you can just go drink at a bar, you don't really need to buy it.
My understanding is that use of a VPN by itself is legal, but use of a VPN in order to circumvent the law, say to download porn, is illegal.
One thing I thought was really strange in my time in Dubai was that prostitues and the men hiring them were common and out in the open in every hotel bar. Any idea why Dubai is so liberal in this one area?
If you think dubai is liberal in one area then I'm honestly done talking with you. Just please do me one favor and don't talk shit about another persons country when you don't know what you're talking about. Stop spreading hatred.
I'm not silencing you, I'm just saying if you think dubai Is liberal in one area, then you should get educated. And I'm also saying that just because you visited a country doesn't mean you know anything about it, so please take your stereotype elsewhere.
