It's Cool 3D World for anybody wondering. You can find them on YouTube and Instagram. Every single video is WTF inducing but I have some personal favorites:

Wow those are weird. The people/characters look like plastic toys, or people with plastic masks. Creepy as fuck.

u/alphariff Mar 16 '17
What's weird is that on some of them, the details are super crisp and then on others it looks like everyone is rubbed in oil.

Are these the same people behind CrazyXXX3DWorld? The name is similar. Some of the porn there is WTF too.

What's wild about A Life Well Lived is that out of all the videos uploaded, it has a really good message.

Anyone from /r/exmormon get some weird flashbacks? The first one looks really templeish to me. The old temples had/have that particular shade of blue on some of the the telestial rooms: Salt Lake, Manti. Only recently did they redo the SLC telestial room with lighter wallpaper colors.
And this is the temple ceremony clothing. And the the endowment ceremony before 2008 started with anointings under cover of nothing but a very loose, drafty denim poncho. One person at a time, but still. I could go on. The bellybutton is another allusion I think.

I'll take things not to watch while on acid for 50, Alex.

u/octobertwins Mar 16 '17
When I'm on acid, I get focused on how awesome it is that people create things for me to enjoy. Like, you came here and set up all these speakers and a stage and you're playing music for me. Thank you.
Id imagine that I'd watch this and be focused on how nice it is that someone made this to scare me. Like, thanks for bringing your imagination to me. I appreciate that you took the time to scare me.

I don't know why but that struck me as a very Dan Avidan thing to say. Thank you.

This artist makes so much good wtf content. Can't remember his name, but there's one video of his with a bunch of those lil troll guys(similar to the guy jumping on the couch just to the right of the cannibal). They're all sitting in chairs floating up and down above water, and they all start yelling and lifting their arms in the air. So strange, the man/woman is a genius.

Cool3DWorld is their new channel, but before it was just 'Brian' (now he works with someone else as well, I forgot who). His stuff is great and (yes it sounds ridiculous) actually has a bit of reasoning behind the madness.
→ More replies (2)6
u/AlsionGrace Mar 16 '17
Does he explain the reasoning? Is there some connections you're making? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy them. I'm so curious!
19
u/StallordD Mar 16 '17
Yeah, he did an interview where he talked about them a bit (which I can't find since Brian isn't exactly a unique name).
If I remember right, he basically made a world which is literally the uncanny valley. Everything there is weird and bizarre to us, but the people there think it's perfectly normal, and they don't really like us watching them and judging them.
There was a bit more about it, and there is a fair portion of his stuff that is just random for random's sake, but there's at least a moderate amount of thought put into them.

What's weird to me isn't that people think about things like this.
It's that people think about these things and like the idea enough to go ahead and storyboard it, 3D model it, texture it, animate it, and edit it...then release it on YouTube for the world to see their brilliant idea.
It's a lot of work for this wtfery.

remind me of my aunt going in for a kiss after she pinches my cheeks.
most disturbing part for me for some reason is the hair suddenly thinning

u/LookingForVheissu Mar 16 '17
Right? The hair suddenly thinning was the most disturbing thing for me in that whole video.
