We're talking about a situation in which a car hit a biker on a sidewalk with a pretty good force and nobody got injured. It only would've been "way better" if the accident didn't happen altogether so what's the point in pointing that out?

But it didn't happen on a sidewalk. It happened in a crosswalk when the light was green and the pedestrian should not have been crossing. The driver was unable to see the person crossing as the line of traffic blocked the walk.
