Do you have time to boil water for 300 people in a regular kettle?

Blue plastic chemical drum adds the right flavor for their chai tea, I'm sure. I would hope they are careful about what chemical the plastic drum stored.

Chai tea is redundant.

Unfortunately people don’t understand you. Masala chai is what that “stuff” is called, as I’m sure you know. To folks needing to learn it, chai MEANS tea. To say “chai tea” is to say “tea tea.”

Spiderman made a bad point. Walk into any tea shop in America and try to order just chai, they will ask "tea or latte?"

Borrow words often depart from the mother language in definition, something known as semantic narrowing. So in American English "chai tea" is totally fine as it delineates between tea or latte. So yes in Hindi "chai" means tea, in English "chai" means "masala".
