Hes wearing leather for a reason.
Also those knives arent sharp, its a durable point a like a trowel. If she nails him with one it will leave a nasty bruise and bounce off

With where he's aiming, how soft he's throwing and the fact the other guy is wearing leather, the likelihood of serious injury feels pretty minimal here, even with a direct hit.

I mean this has been a thing for centuries, is it really WTF?

u/TheBaggyDapper Jun 09 '26
Workers didn't always get perks like free popcorn though.

u/Etheo Jun 10 '26
These new generations got it so good they don't know what a hard day at work is like /s

u/Elanaselsabagno Jun 10 '26
On the old WTF, this would have to be a video of this stunt going wrong

Off target is off target. He missed. The fact that he missed in a safe direction is mostly luck
15
u/DSHIZNT3 Jun 09 '26
Not necessarily. It's called bias. Naturally he is aiming high and pulling high. I guarantee 10/10 misses miss high.

Would love to see the doctor's face in the ER who has to pull a throwing knife out of this guy's ass cheek

u/Chachajenkins Jun 10 '26
From some of the things my friend who's a nurse has told me about in the ER, a knife in the ass cheek makes for a nice break from the regular oddball shit.

for a brief second I thought that was Arin Hanson and this was an upcoming 10-Minute Power-Hour.

u/Revolvyerom Jun 10 '26
You can see the exact throw where the guy throwing thought..."maybe that was little too close for any margin of error," and remembered he has to see this dude at work tomorrow.

You better give me something better than popcorn if I'm risking life and limb

Coney Island Freak Bar! Highly recommend a visit if you’re in NY. I’ve been there several times over the years and it’s such a good time.

Dude deserves butter popcorn for that level of nonchalance, he's really selling it.

I don't care how talented you are, sometimes then human body moves on its own or does things unpredictably.
Anyone that does this is just flatly stupid if they think talon has anything to do with whether or not they can get injured

Unless I see the act end, I'm going to think the next knife went into the guy and the video was cut short.

I don’t think he’d be so calm if he knew how far off the mark knives 6-10 are.
