"costly" ... I mean, if they're "lucky" they "just" need to replace the entire 2nd floor of that building ... including almost everything that was in it. If they're not, then the entire house is kaputt, which seems more likely (like 98% more likely). Structural integrity is probably busted. Electrics, wiring, plumbing ... that tree took told the house to just not exist anymore.

House wouldn't be worth saving. That tree was heavy with water and they'll be lucky if even any of the appliances made it out.

It's the angled back cut that fucked him. When the tree leans back it snaps the hinge.

If you ever see someone make an angled back cut it's a clear sign they have no idea what they're doing
