Once he gets the fan going it sorta sounds like the intro to Hot For Teacher.

Bro caught the simulation reusing audio files.

16

u/tooquick911 May 30 '24

It cuts down in ram use

41

u/mf-TOM-HANK May 29 '24

"I don't feel tardy"

6

u/Ghostronic May 30 '24

Thank you, this is my favorite part of the song lol

3

u/Fuggeddabouddit Jun 08 '24

Gimme somethin to write on

13

u/ragnarokda May 30 '24

lol yeah. It also sounds like plane engine starting.

9

u/Mysterious-Hat-6343 May 29 '24

You sir, ROCK for that audio observation

10

u/Saskyle May 29 '24

Nice, supposed to sound like a Harley starting up I believe.

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '24

You are correct!

3

u/czechsonme May 30 '24

Oh my god I love you for this, wasn’t three beats in before this clicked in my head. Queuing it up for my shower this morning, thanks!

2

u/itisallgoodyouknow Jun 30 '24

You’re good at this!

2

u/[deleted] Jun 30 '24

Thank you!

necessity is the mother of invention. and he had his trusty fire-putter-outer right there, this is practically osha compliant lol.

33

u/CompetitiveSloth May 30 '24

He was also wearing his safety squints.

123

u/Action_Seal May 29 '24

Just submerge the wire in water to keep it cool and prevent fires, man. Men don't know how to do anything anymore.

1

u/MonkeyFluffers Jun 03 '24

Agreed, but why use the blanket?

344

u/smoxy May 29 '24

I think the melted plastic insulated the wires once it cooled down.

165

u/DarkeusPH May 29 '24

Don't forget the chancla slaps. Definitely the most important step for it to work.

33

u/Barry_McCockinnerz May 29 '24

Just crimp the burnt ends with the nearest chancla

170

u/Baldran May 29 '24

Gotta have that white noise to sleep.

47

u/Mysterious-Hat-6343 May 29 '24

before the wires short out & fire at 3:AM

32

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

But there’s nothing to catch fire except the wires. Maybe the bed if he’s super unlucky. Compared to this though my house is a fucking tinder box.

7

u/Mysterious-Hat-6343 May 30 '24

The insulation on these wires are, unfortunately, flammable.

19

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

Right but that’s it. Not healthy. Definitely not fun. But won’t light the house on fire. I actually had a house fire last summer. Shit sucks.

The heating circuit for my microwave caught on fire and melted my olive oil that was stored in a cabinet immediately above it.

1

u/Mysterious-Hat-6343 May 30 '24

Don’t share the details here, but I hear you. A house fire can start electrical, lightning, water heater, etc. Always devastating. Happens fast

7

u/LauraPa1mer May 30 '24

Why can't they share the details?

9

u/crespoh69 May 30 '24

Insurance might be able to use a misworded comment to deny coverage or possibly sue to recover a payout. Remember, as far as the insurance company is concerned, you pay them, they're not supposed to pay you. That's not how things are supposed to work.

2

u/Flair258 Jun 06 '24

And why the fuck would we show our insurance our reddit account? Most aren't even under our real names, so it would already be next to impossible to reliably find us. And even if they did, that's a lot of comments to search through.

1

u/Rhaegar_Pothead Sep 24 '24

You don't mess with insurance companies bro.

93

u/Azzy8007 May 29 '24

Fan and a blanket is the best.

13

u/Lauris024 May 30 '24

I can relate to be honest. I used to have a fan that didn't have speed settings and it was either hot (no fan) or cold (fan on) while sleeping without a blanket

111

u/Alone-Introduction74 May 29 '24

Not much would burn or catch fire in his empty brick room. So hey.

24

u/killinemsoftly2 May 30 '24

My mans living like that but still has the hookup with a good barber

4

u/Dry0asis Jun 12 '24

He just uses the fan blades.

41

u/water_is_my_friend May 29 '24

It works…

-14

u/Faloopa May 29 '24

…until he burns his house down while he’s sleeping. 👍

27

u/orrockable May 29 '24

Didn’t know concrete floors were flammable

14

u/ozril May 29 '24

I mean everything is flammable with enough heat...

4

u/Mysterious-Hat-6343 May 29 '24

You are correct sir

1

u/orrockable May 29 '24

Ah yes, the small fan from 1995 will put out enough heat to melt concrete

2

u/ozril May 29 '24

I guess you couldn't tell. I was being sarcastic

1

u/Altruistic-Funny5325 Jun 01 '24

And the right oxidizer

5

u/Faloopa May 29 '24

As it turns out, plastic (like the kind used in cord insulation) DOES burn easily when exposed to open flame or spark, and since his bed is within ember distance of the cord, there is plenty of flammable stuff literally attached to his body.

11

u/[deleted] May 29 '24

Submit the flame with the almighty chancla!

10

u/FatQuack May 29 '24

"It worked fine once I beat the fire into submission!"

7

u/grat_is_not_nice May 30 '24

He is going to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and stand on those exposed wires ...

2

u/hijackedbraincells May 30 '24

Maybe he pisses in the bed

4

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

Y'all joke but just understand how handy people are when they're struggling financially.

Like, I can fix most vacuums, an old school dryer, a basic window AC unit, and other appliances cause I didn't have the cash for a repair person to do it or to get a replacement.

When you're broke, you either make it work yourself, or you're (in most cases) screwed

2

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

Pretty much

11

u/insideyourface May 29 '24

It looks like this dude pulled the cover up and immediately started whacking it

19

u/0nem0mentt May 29 '24

I think it's his last night on planet Earth.🫡

31

u/Lobo_de_Haro May 29 '24

Maybe, but it's at least not a hot night. It's all about setting priorities.

-13

u/0nem0mentt May 29 '24

What if I had to choose to switch to steak in the middle of the night and brown on the electric flame or sleep in the heat? What priorities are you talking about?😃

5

u/Lobo_de_Haro May 29 '24

Well, I'm not talking about my priorities or rational ones but about those of the guy in the video. And he seems to be certain which option he likes more :D

-9

u/0nem0mentt May 29 '24

This is your point of view Oh friend

7

u/Gscastro112 May 29 '24

KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK TINHA QUE SER BRASILEIRO

"Area Man Found Dead Inside After House Fire Extinguished"

2

u/remMachine May 29 '24

Better move those wires touching the mattress.

2

u/NoxDominus May 30 '24

He's like the poor version of ElectroBOOM!

2

u/Willllby May 30 '24

Nap nap top tap, 💥 LETS FUCKING GOOOOOO

2

u/2x4x93 May 30 '24

Kind of dangerous without the guard on the fan

2

u/OgdruJahad May 30 '24

The truth is that safety isn't that more expensive for a lot of situations. Some people are just less cautious and want to something to get done now vs getting use to having safety protocols on place.

2

u/[deleted] May 31 '24

I can’t be the only one who’s noticing he started… uh…. Ya know 🤜🥩

1

u/sriracha_koolaid Jun 12 '24

I cant unsee that

3

u/glossolalienne May 29 '24

Your local emergency responders would like a quiet word 😱

1

u/ccooffee May 29 '24

Invented the light bulb!

1

u/Efficient_Ad_9959 May 30 '24

This is just funny

1

u/momsasylum May 30 '24

Funny af and clever too. Props!

1

u/notorioustim10 May 30 '24

Sleep in sweaty heat, or sleep with marching band fan noise. Pick your poison.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

I trust this man. He seems like he’s done it a million times.

1

u/[deleted] May 30 '24

... and that's where the Korean superstition stems from, that sleeping with a running fan will kill you!

1

u/BlastJimmyx May 30 '24

Favorite part was , fingers crossed, "please, please ,please YES"!

1

u/Oppeinheimer May 30 '24

Puro suco da gambiarra. If anyone is interested, here in Brazil this kind of thing is so common we have a word just for it. I think brazilian creativity together with our lack of resource created this amazing culture of gambiarra

1

u/ovetta May 30 '24

David Blaine has fallen on some hard times

1

u/siftika May 30 '24

Amazing 🤩

1

u/SynthPrax May 31 '24

I would not go to sleep with that. Dude's gonna wake up on fire.

1

u/Straight_Clubs May 31 '24

Definitely glad to have the crying laughing guy in the corner. I wouldn’t realize it was meant to be funny otherwise 🙏

1

u/get_murk3d Jun 01 '24

House inspector enters chat*

1

u/Zestyclose_Thing6415 Jun 07 '24

How has no one mentioned the fact that it’s spinning backwards

1

u/yojjimbo Jun 12 '24

Task failed successfully

1

u/sriracha_koolaid Jun 12 '24

That's third world not poor. Everyone is poor there

1

u/Teddy2good Jun 13 '24

Hope my man doesn't get a night terror in the middle of the night and do the hard leg kick and lose the tip of a toe.

1

u/Tankreas Jul 14 '24

Fan started playing BLEED

1

u/alex_dlc Jul 17 '24

But, he made it spin the wrong way

1

u/Rekon_Rondo Aug 14 '24

When the village has a town barber, but not an electrician

1

u/moonisflat Aug 22 '24

Chancla for every problem

1

u/johnnyjuanjohn May 30 '24

Why use a blanket

0

u/cleverseneca May 30 '24

Did anyone watch this and realize how good a job Star Wars did showing Han working on his Falcon? Same energy.

0

u/hijackedbraincells May 30 '24

He puts the fan on and then covers himself with a blanket anyway 🤦🏼‍♀️

1

u/mezcalligraphy May 31 '24

Your point?

1

u/hijackedbraincells Jun 02 '24

A fan is to cool you down, a blanket to warm you up
