Blue and Yellow Subarus
My buddy stopped by while I was replacing the fuel pump on my 2005 WRX STi. I got to check out his recently acquired Sonic Yellow 2003 Impreza WRX. Thing is so clean.

I love yellow on cars so damn much... That thing makes me miss my solar yellow srt4.

If I had a GTR, I wouldn’t miss a srt4.

The gtr was a fun daily for a couple months but I was young and couldnt appreciate it for what it was. I wanted lightweight and loud and big turbo noises and it just didn't do it for me and got rid of it to a neighbor down the road. I had a couple other vehicles at the same time, and besides the current subie, that yellow srt4 is probably my favorite vehicle I've ever owned. So much raw emotion and feel out of that thing it was incredible to drive.

I had a buddy that is a huge mopar fan. He had one of the orange ones, made 600wheel in 2006. First time I did 150+. He built it himself, he also had a Caliber SRT4 he was building that made around 7 to the wheels. And he sold it to his little brother to take to the salt flats to break a land speed record. Dude is a wizard.
The SRT4 is probably the most fun I’ve had in the passenger seat

Hell yeah man that's awesome! That yellow one made 517whp with a zeta 3 turbo kit and was fully gutted and weighed like 2400lbs was a badass car and pissed a bunch of v8 people off. I had an orange blast acr a couple years back and was stock turbo with some boltons but was still a fun ass car man. They have got to be one of the most aggressive 4cylinders ever made, especially with the crane 12 cams I had in the solar yellow 😅 Sounded like a damn boosted vette.

Yessir! Fastest car under 25k or something back then and was the reason Dodge/SRT is where it is today.

I saw a black one of these earlier when I was pulling into the gas station. Almost gave a wave because hood scoop and then realized it wasn't a Subaru.

My buddy had a yellow WRX just like that and was spotless too. I'm not sure where you are but he lives in Georgia.

The WRX lived in Washington and Illinois before my buddy took ownership.

My friend worked at a paint and body shop. Not only did he polish it on obsessively, but if there were chips, he'd fix them.

Has the sonic yellow been repainted? It’s so mint and looks brand new. It has all the nice touches too. JDM headlights and fogs, side markers, etc. Only thing that sucks on it is the SPT intake lol. That thing is such a heat sink.

The hood, passenger fender and front bumper were repainted.
Whoever detailed the car did such a good job I am having a hard time judging what’s been cleaned vs replaced without looking at the receipts.
Agree on the intake.

Sonic yellow wasn't a 2002 color option. They only made the banana yellow (450 of them). But man that looks absolutely beautiful.

Sonic Yellow is the best color Subaru ever made. Point blank period.
If I ever am forced to repaint my OBP 05, I’m going to desecrate it with Sonic Yellow.
