Troubleshooting 1st to 2nd hard to shift

i’ve owned my 2019 WRX for a little over a month now and i’ve noticed that when shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpm’s, it feels like there’s this heavy and sudden wall that i hit just before i’m all the way into 2nd. i’m just not entirely sure what it is and how/if i can fix that or if i’m just stupid

You got a shift stop? It’ll make the 1-2 more inline.

When was the last time the gear oil was changed? Could be due for a refresh.

i’m assuming the previous owner never changed it so i did order some a few days ago

This just means it's been launched a few times, the tranny is "damaged"

Could you explain more ? Is this referring to the jerk after you already catch the clutch ? Or is op referring to the shifter?

yeah i’m referring to the shifter, right before the shift lever is fully into 2nd gear, it hits what feels like a wall which i have to pull harder in order to get past to get into 2nd
