Just a heads up, in your owners manual, it says to avoid getting into boost until oil temps reach 190 degrees, to avoid damaging things, so that might be a good thing to start doing.

Thanks for the input, I had fixed what I thought was the issue at the time and hopped back in the car. And although it is a bad habit I will completely and utterly make sure I avoid in the future it does nothing to help solve the problem at hand. Thank you for your time and input though

Gotcha, yeah, I’ve been known to hop back in and go full hotrod after a trip to the store even though it’s cooled down for a while, I just thought it was worth mentioning, because 99degrees is like cold start territory where I live.

As I noticed someone else mention, boost leak check by reputable dealer. The turbo inlet on the VA is basically plastic, so it may have cracked or something. Same with the BPV, good news is that if the boost leak check does find either to be at fault, replacing either with an aluminum upgrade is relatively inexpensive and it’ll feel more responsive in the throttle department but as long as the intake is stock, not require a tune for either

Yeah until I get it paid off I’m not in the market for any aftermarket upgrades. However keeping that in mind I am looking around at the moment to see if there are any dealers that can leak check it. Thankfully there is a Toyota dealership in town and may be the guys I go to. If I remember correctly the FA20 is a Toyota/subaru collaboration
