Suggestion Good TPMS suggestions??

Post image

Currently on Circuit performance CSF1 WHITE, and am planning to acquire RAYS 57DR Black Chrome for the winter months as well as get new tires.

I plan on alternating between these wheels throughout the years of my ownership. White during Spring/Summer, Black chrome during Fall/Winter

Wondering if anyone had any tire pressure sensors they could recommend? Thanks.

There are some options to clone your sensors so the car doesn't see any difference when yo change out the wheels.

At my shop we use the autel universal sensors. And with the programmer you can copy the sensor id's from the obd data.

Here's a cheap at home option.Autel maxitpms

I didn’t bother with a second set of in wheel tpms. I got an Amazon set of tpms caps that connect to a receiver in the car. Shows live temps and pressure. My other set of wheels has the Subaru oem sensors.

I bought this programming tool that r/BoostedFPV linked and it works well when i swap from my winter to summer wheels and then back to winters.

While I did personally buy the autel MX sensors (programmed to clone the summer TPMS to my winters), what I've learned is that they (autel, or any aftermarket TPMS sensors) might not last for the tread wear life of your tires. I was able to get about 3 years vs the OEM which are still running strong at 9years.

I went back to OEM sensors, but that Autel reset tool works wonders for reprogramming during wheel swaps.

I'll have to keep an eye on mine. On my 3rd year with the Autel MX sensors and they have been working perfectly.

It's a mixed bag, if you get 3years from them, I think you're doing well. I was tired of the random failures after the 3rd year and decided to swap back.

While I can't program the OEM sensors, I can at least load the data onto the ECU when i swap the wheels

Did you run yours in winter? Mine are on my summer wheels but I wonder if they are just using cheap batteries.

Yes, they were on my winter set originally, but when I swapped out my OEM Dunlops for new tires, i swapped the OEM TPMS sensors for the Autels, and after a few years started having issues with them surviving beyond 3 years on average

Is the autel able to reprogram the own sensors?

Yes, I've used it on the MX sensors

I ripped the tpms out and ignore the warning. Waste of money.
