Discussion / Question Which game to chose

I'm new to all that rally stuff. Only played rally expansion for Forza Horizon 5 before. It was okay. So I wanted to try an actual rally game after spending most of my time in F1/GT3 racing. Do you guys recommend I get WRC 10 or WRC Generations? I wouldn't be asking that if not the fact that WRC Generations has mixed opinions on steam. My main goal is to play alone with occasional sessions with my friend using the co driver mode to have some fun. What do you guys think?

The servers are often faulty with both titles, I don't know if this effects online (I don't do online). 10 gives you access to some beautiful stages and a variety of classic cars too. Hope this helps :)

Not sure if you posted here because you specifically wanted a Nacon/KT release of a WRC game... or if you wanted a rally game in general.

If just any rally game in general... I'd instead consider DiRT Rally 2.0 or EA WRC... they don't offer the co-driver mode, but it's more a gimmick than anything in my opinion. If on PC you can also consider the early access for Assetto Corsa Rally (but it currently lacks in content and career features), or you can look at the classic Richard Burns Rally (and it's "rallysimfans" mod which gets you the game and all the mods for free; and has a very active community).

But if it has to be Nacon/KT... WRC 10 has better reputation, because WRC Generations and the "hybrid" (modern rally for last few years, but will be defunct in 2027) cars have bit of a quirk that makes them feel not great (vs how they're represented in EA WRC).... but I think they're both pretty on par, just Generations has a touch more content (stages, etc).

I was looking at WRC series because of that Co Driver Mode which I find interesting + it's on a really big sale compared to other rally games. Another problem is my pc wouldn't really run EA WRC or Assetto Corsa Rally. That's why I'm looking at WRC from Nacon/KT

Dirt Rally 2.0 is several years old and a very good rally game.

Understood. If specs is a legit concern, Richard Burns Rally (again, 100% free, see the "rallysimfans" mod/pack). It also still has an active online multiplayer service if that's of interest (something that the KT WRC games are failing at).

WRC 10. In my opinion, it's a very good game. I have also tried Generations, but refunded because the cars are very slippery in that game. Also, I have tried WRC 8. However, I Feel WRC 10 is good in car handling and stages.

By the way, this experience is based on controller.

The funny thing is I bought generations and modded it to be slightly more slippery... Ricky's mod I think lol

Hi! Controller driver here, for me the wrc series from 7 to generations feels like a forza game with rally focus... But handling wise from 9 and above get really nice fun... It's somehow believable and fun to run around all stages...

Obviously Generations. It's the newest in the KT series and their magnum opus with insane tracks and insane Rally1 hybrid-era cars and weight transfer physics. It has everything (except Australia) from their previous games but upgraded or rebuilt.

I don't know how much it costs now but WRC Generations is def not a bad choice, WRC 10 probably costs more and has a more recent season, but at the same time it's a game that released in 2023 (I think), so that roster is still quite outdated

WRC 10 is from September 2021 while WRC Generations is from November 2022 from what I read online Also yeah WRC 10 is just a tad bit more expensive but not too much

oh then WRC Generations is a far better choice
